  • What's the deal?

[Read the article: How Obama learned to be a natural]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Why has Salon had an obvious negative editorial tone about Obama?

And seriously, "uppity"? How did that word even come up to begin with?

I think we deserve an explanation.

  • White Sox

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]

Well as a White Sox fan I have to admit I don't hold a lot of hope for next year, but then again I felt the same going into 2005...

In any case, I don't take it as a slight as I'm not sure the Sox would really want Shilling. They already have one old, breaking-down starting pitcher (Jose Contreras) and they've got a couple solid prospects waiting in the wings (Gio Gonzalez, Jack Egbert). The rotation in 2007 was solid if unspectacular, and certainly not the problem. If anything I could imagine Ken Williams dealing a starter for some help in the lineup and bringing up a kid before I imagine him signing Shilling.

  • I get every argument except the 'like' one...

[Read the article: Women and Clinton: Damned if they vote, damned if they don't?]

I don't understand why not liking Hillary means I'm a sexist. I don't like McCain either, in a way that goes beyond issue differences. I think at some point he made a conscious decision to sell his soul for the nomination. He can come across as smug sometimes.

I don't like Hillary because I just don't trust her - it seems like time and time again, when faced with the choice between the right thing to do, and political expediency, she has chosen the latter. The war is only the most egregious example.

  • Tired

[Read the article: Hey, Obama boys: Back off already!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I am tired of Salon accusing male Obama supporters of sexism and misogyny. So I'm not reading Salon until after the Democratic convention. Enjoy having one less eyeball on your ads.

  • Ozzie's rant worked

[Read the article: Let Ozzie rant in bleeping peace]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The anemic Sox offense, which Ozzie was calling out as horsebleep, scored 9 runs the next game after the rant. Granted, they were playing Kansas City.

Last time Ozzie had a rant like this, the Sox won 8 in a row.
