  • Exit polls show more than this

[Read the article: Networks call West Virginia for Clinton]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

According to CNN.com, the exit polls show that 21% of the voters said race was a factor in their decision. 82% of those voted for Hillary. A full 8% of the voters said that race was the most important factor. 85% voted for Clinton.

So who really gives a damn about the West Virginia vote? A bunch of toothless, inbred racists wouldn't vote for the black man. What a freaking shock!

Hillary's historical analogies are idiotic, as well. "No Democrat has won the White House without WV since 1916". So this proves something? No black man or white woman has EVER won the White House, so I guess Obama and Clinton should both bow out now. History is against them.

These people making WV such a blowout for Clinton are the people that the founding fathers were terrified of and the reason they called democracy "mobocracy". (Note, I am not talking about everyone in WV, but the large number of admitted racist voters are what is making WV a blowout for Clinton instead of a close race.)

On the flip side, the people who considered gender important went overwhelmingly for Clinton. Old white women once again showed that ovaries are all they care about in a nominee.

  • Extremist Groups?

[Read the article: More negative reaction to NARAL]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    So, a man can't be pro-choice?

The reaction of many prominent women to the NARAL endorsement of Obama is disheartening. The race for the nomination is over everywhere but in Hillary's mind. The most important thing for Americans now, on this and MANY other issues, is making sure that Obama and not McCain is in the White House.

When groups like these state chapters or the other pro-choice groups or women Congressmen attack the national NARAL HQ for endorsing a pro-choice MAN, it reeks of sexism. It also gives credence to the far right's assertions about these groups. This type of nonsense will be cited as proof on future Limbaugh radio broadcasts that pro-choice and women's groups are "femi-nazis".

These women are doing a lot to reinforce the glass ceiling, while Obama is close to shattering it. These groups of women risk putting themselves in the same category as PETA and the NAACP, which are extremist groups who suffer from severe tunnel vision. (PETA is a joke that stopped being funny long ago. Having the dumbest woman in Hollywood act as your major spokesperson doesn't do much to lend your group credibility. The NAACP jumped the shark when they rushed to Michael Jackson's aid and accused anyone who didn't automatically assume that he must be innocent of being racist. Wrong though it may be, an accused child molester is generally believed guilty until proven innocent- regardless of color. PETA always was a joke, but the NAACP is a sad example of a group that let itself become irrelevant by assuming before the facts were in that anyone black must be innocent of any charge. The screamed wolf so often that no one even pays attention now when they try to point out the real wolves.)

Once pro-women's rights groups and advocates start rejecting the idea that someone without ovaries may care just as much about these issues, they are no longer relevant in any serious discussion about the topic. Their statistics can no longer be cited as a legitimate source of information in discussions of the topic. Once they become so blinded by hatred that they can't accept that a man is on their side, or that other women support the men on their side, they are just another extremist group among many irrelevant extremist groups in this country.

The amount of support that Hillary Clinton has received, and the amount of slack she has been cut, for NO REASON OTHER THAN HAVING A PAIR OF OVARIES is truly appalling. I haven't seen any evidence that black Clinton backers are being called out as traitors, yet Oprah Winfrey (who is black for God's sake) had to defend herself for not backing the woman over the black man. This has been widespread throughout the primary and has served to set the women's rights movement back at a time when we have a record number of female governors and a female Speaker of the House.

Hillary's candidacy and lunacy have been BAD for feminism. The sooner some women take off their blinders and see this, the more minimal the damage will be.

  • On behalf of John McCain

[Read the article: California Supreme Court legalizes gay marriage]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I would like to thank the California Supreme Court for letting a matter of semantics give the Republicans a HUGE boost going into November. the fact that they did it at a time when Hillary is still trying to drag down the Democratic Party is just the icing on the cake for the right wing.

The idea of "couple's rights" is a legally dubious one at best. These judges have played directly into the right's hands by making a decision that was politically motivated and not legally justifiable.

Not only does this put the White House at risk, it could grind to a halt the amazing progress thaat dems appeared set to make this fall. This decision alone could cost the dems one or both houses of Congress. The Republicans have a presidential candidate that they aren't enthusiastic about. The one democratic candidate who could have energized the right to get out and vote has gone down in flames. And then 4 politically motivated judges invent a new category of rights in their desperate bid to protect the gay community from a pedantic, semantic distinction that will do more harm to gay rights than good.

It is worth noting that the people behind this lawsuit are the same ones who helped cripple John Kerry in 2004 by handing out illegal marriage licenses in a highly public spectacle. One can only hope that an appeal will sideline this til after the November election.
