In order to keep his real masters on from the planet Mongo up to date on the Vorlon's plan. He's acting as a double agent. How else could he make certain Ming's plans to turn us into space communists don't get thwarted by the Vorlon's plans to convert the Earth to Islam.
And did you know that if you reversed the letters in Obama's name, turned them upside down and wrote them in flouresent blue ink they match perfectly the lettering over the entrance royal palace of the Iridian Empire.
The MSN needs to spend more time on Obama's unAmerican connections to all those evil alien empires.
Is that the first Democratic Primary Debate for the 2012 nomination is set for Fed 6th 2009.
Oh wait, this just in:
The Republicans, in an effort to get ahead of their Democratic opponents, have announce they will be hold their first primary debate of the 2012 presidential season Nov 5th 2008.
So far announced as attending, Governor Sarah Palin, frm Governor Mitt Romney and an unkwown junior senator from a western state to be named later.
Remeber the Clinton years? The rise of the right wing militia movement and there links to the Aryan Brotherhood, skinheads and other white suprememicist groups. In their minds Obama is just this side of the Anti-Christ.
If Obama wins we are going to see that again. McCain/Palin are stoking those groups up, legitimizing their fears. I fear we will see another Oklahoma before we see another 9/11. They are polarizing the nation is a way not seen in decades.
Mark my words, the next major terrorist incident on US soil will not come from people claiming to be Muslims, it will come from people claiming to be Christians.
Neither group has any idea what those two religions truly stand for.
The most telling aspect of these polls is McCain potentially loosing in 2010.
I keep harping on this point but needs to be said. Pushing into all these 'red' states is about more than just winning this cycle for Obama. It's about down ticket races (5-6 more house seats - 1-2 Senate seats) and even more important its about setting the stage for the future.
The Democrats now have donor lists, phone lists, volunteers, eperienced campaign workers etc etc. Such things can be tapped in 2010, 2012 and beyond. The state parties (long neglected under DLC leadership) will finally have the resources to field good local candidates (where future national leaders come from). Democrats will have a better chance to hold the new seats they are now gaining.
Maybe Georgia and most of the others stay 'red' this cycle and probably the next. But the dems pick up an extra house seat, a couple of mayorships, more seats the state legislatures. They gain more local leaders and experience campaigners.
Then just a two month wait until the first Republican primary debate of the 2012 presidential season.
The Democrats will follow a couple of weeks later.
The first straw poll will be in next June.
Are trying to ram down the media's throats. The fact that the Republicans are feeling compelled to put in some ads of their own also undercuts that message.
And that's all it is. He really does not perceive any consequences to elections.
One should remember, Kristol is a child of privilage. His life will go on roughly the same regardless of who holds the White House. And that is the way it has been for his entire life.
To him, his team won the last round. This time, the other teams wins. Next time his boys will come back. It's no big deal in his mind. One should take it no more seriously than one takes a football season.
His constantly changing advice to McCain is just a like a coach chaning up a game plan during season.
No you're not. IF (and its still IF) Obama wins tonight then we can start the whole 'meanings' debate. Right now we need to focus on making sure turnout is strong, polls are running smoothly and the count is fair.
And too lighten things up a bit, head over to The Onion. They've already announced that an election machine has won :). We also need to keep our sense of humor intact.
That this time four years ago I thought Kerry was winning. I am taking nothing for granted.
I also keep reminding myself that around 25% of voters similtaneously believe the country is on the wrong track and want to keep a Republican in the White House. Things like that make it difficult for me to believe my fellow citizens are capable of making good choices.
Polls are still open out here in the west. Make sure everybody you know has voted or will before they close. It's not enough to win, we have to win BIG.
But I feel about 6% better than I did a few minutes ago. Pennsylvania is McCain's best shot at turning a blue state red. That means Obama is all but certain to hold all the Kerry states.
Now it comes down to how many red states Obama can flip. Keep your fingers crossed. If Florida or Ohio go for Obama ...
I'm not going to say it until its over.
