If little Ricky is such an avid bible reader

where's his beard?

For that matter, where are all the god fearing men's beards? The bible is very specific on this topic. Not a lot of wiggle room.

Offensive?

When was SNL ever offensive? Please be specific.

It takes a village.

If she keeps this up, that's exactly what it's going to take to pay off her debt.

Monday, May 12, 2008 09:40 AM

Oh well

I liked it.

Maybe they can find more of these military people and string them together for a more effective ad. A veteran military man not voting for McCain. Says a lot in a short period of time.

Monday, May 12, 2008 05:41 PM

To all those who plan to vote for McCain when Hillary loses...

...maybe John and Cindy Lou will let you stay in one of their 8 homes as a thank you. While your there you can laugh with them about not voting for the "elitist".

I understand Bob Barr just announced.

I wonder what his position is on global warming? I'm thinking of making a campaign contribution to old Bob so he has the opportunity to debate these issues, and many of the other republican's favorite topics with Mr. McCain, on television, before a live republican audience. That would be entertaining!

@ Dubmanny - Electro-robot

You really think Obama can win the general election with just the African-American vote and the same old liberal vanguard of white eggheads and students? Please. Barack Obama = smooth jazz remix of Michael Dukakis. And the fellow just gave up the state because he knows he doesn't have a prayer with rural white folks. He quit, tipped his king right in front of an entire swing state. Nice.

Go ahead, flame me. It's all I get with this crowd.

-- Dubmanny

Let's see, African-American...nope.

Egghead...nope.

Student...nope, not since high school.

Rural white folk...yup.

Old liberal...nope, Independent.

Flame...nope.

And Electro-robot...didn't you call NC for Hillary 2 weeks ago?

@ AKA Smith

Is there something wrong with Al Sharpton?

If you lived in or near New York City during the 70's and 80's you know exactly what's wrong with Al Sharpton. Sharpton injected himself into the Tawana Brawley case and made himself the official spokesman for the family all the while attempting to incite a race riot in the city. I cringe every time I see a group of people clap for this man. Hillary making her "white voters" statement just a few days before the WV vote is classic Sharpton. Matthews is an idiot but he's right on this one.

They should just keep it short

I encourage all Republican candidates, whether incumbents or challengers, to take stock of their campaigns and position themselves for challenging campaigns this fall by building the financial resources and grassroots networks that offer them the opportunity and ability to communicate, energize and turn out voters this election.

In other words "Your on your own!"

Bush is just saving his energy...

so he can cut the ribbon on the new Iraq Disneyworld Water and Skate Park. It'll probably have an entrance but no exit.

@melthough

kickstarts, did you just plagiarize?

At least get the spelling right, dude!

Huh?

Thursday, May 15, 2008 07:30 AM

STOP ALREADY!

It doesn't matter if you support Obama or Clinton. Obama will be the nominee. Period.

All this crap about NARAL's endorsement or Clinton's blowout in WV or Obama's future blowout in an upcoming race just doesn't matter. Obama will be the nominee.

3 choices from now one:

Get behind Obama as the nominee

Sit this general election out

Vote for McCain

Pick one, but enough with all the infighting, McCain is getting a free ride like Bush never dreamed of getting. Time to focus on the general election or torpedo Obama's chances of winning.

debaser

Edwards(my choice) endorsed Obama. He really wanted to win too but he's backing the nominee. Gravel was on my ballot last week but he isn't going to win either. At this point it's time to go, in my opinion.

The media will fill the void with the story of the day and McCain makes a story daily. There are enough McCain weirdisms to last from now till 2012 so I don't think the media will run out of crap to blab about. The War Room could be doing any number of stories about McCain at this point but it's just filled with screaming about Hillary said this and Obama said that. Time to go already! This race is becoming like Iraq, you have to know when to quit. You can stay and go broke or you can come together and fix things. I wanted Edwards in the worst way but I had to accept reality eventually. It's way past "eventually".

That's my opinion anyway.

It's just sad.

What kind of assholes spend their time making a video like that and then have the bad taste to submit it in a contest and attach their names to it? Very bad taste. I'm almost embarrassed and that takes a lot.

Congratulations Electro-robot!

This is your 1,115th letter in one and a half months! That's damn near 25 a day! That has got to be a record....or a job.

I'm sorry sigmund5

Did I insult you in some way? Maybe reactive people like yourself are the target audience for this comedy masterpiece.

Electro Robot

No one, and I mean no one is going to sit in front of a computer long enough to read and then comment on Salon articles at a rate of 25 per day. Unless it's your job. I enjoy Salon for the most part but not at 25 letters a day.

Your not getting paid? That's even creepier.

Wow!

That's some harsh criticism right there boy.

Maybe he isn't a bullshitting, traitorous hack after all. You'll just have to pay him $29.95 to find out.

What did the "fat" bikers say when you talked to them Mr. Keillor?

You did talk to them, right? You listened to their stories about WWII and Viet Nam and Iraq, right? Please tell me you didn't just go look at pictures on Memorial Day and get annoyed by veterans on motorcycles.

Once again Mr. Keillor, you look like an idiot when you don't do your research.

Gay couples who aren't allowed to marry

should all band together and stop paying taxes in their states. The states don't give a fuck about you, return the favor.

Saturday, May 31, 2008 10:42 AM

Is this bullshit over yet?

Come on, damn it. Let's get this crap over with so the babies on both sides can complain about McCain for a change.
