Uncompelling?
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I won't argue the "merits" of the WNBA's marketing. But I have to wonder if Mr. Kaufman has ever actually been to a WNBA game - if he has, I'd be pretty surprised if he could call the league "uncompelling" (OK, if you got stuck watching Charlotte play San Antonio, I can see it). I could be a tad biased, as I'm a Seattle Storm season ticket holder, and my team has a couple of genuine superstars, is in every game it plays, and even won a championship a year ago. Storm games are a frickin' blast. I'd encourage basketball fans to give the 'W' a chance.

Nada
[Read the article: Radiohead's new album: Choose your price]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I entered in 0 (zero), just to see if I could. I could, and I suppose I'll get my email to download the thing.
I don't worship Radiohead, though I really do love Kid A, so I'm not at the point that I'll give them my money, uh, "music unheard." In general, I'll pay money for lossless downloads, but I don't like paying for lossy files. If I like the record when I download it, and they put out a hard copy I can pay for that ISN'T 80 bucks, I'll buy it.
I like that a band in their position is trying this, though.

iTunes Payouts
[Read the article: Radiohead's new album: Choose your price]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]In response to the comments about the amount of iTunes payouts, I wanted to mention that I'm an indie artist whose stuff is available on iTunes via CD Baby. I get paid $.637 per download from iTunes. So maybe major label artists are getting screwed, but indies like me aren't.

@Burn - Perfect.
[Read the article: Prince wants to sue his fans, undo the Internet]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Prince can be as dumb as he wants to, but he needs to hurry up and remaster his back catalog (you know, the good stuff).

I'll wait for the Brainstorm
[Read the article: "Love and Sex With Robots"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I think Brainstorm-(http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085271/) style porn would be way hotter than sex with any machine. You'd have a whole lot of people who'd never leave the house if that were possible!

College Isn't For Everyone
[Read the article: I'm completely irresponsible and I live at home mooching off my parents]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I had no business going to college, since I didn't want to be there. But I went, because my parents wanted me to. Over the next three years, I attended and dropped out of some very fine institutions of higher learning.
And then, I followed my wits, and opportunities arose, and I took advantage of them. I taught myself how to be a computer programmer, I made art, I lived. I don't have a degree, but I make a nice income and I have a nice apartment downtown in a mid-size city. Not having a degree is not a sentence to a life with no money. I'm proof.
Move out, be poor for a while. Live. Your parents will get over it.

WNBA!
[Read the article: Sorenstam, Henin quit while they're ahead]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Just wanted to thank you for mentioning the WNBA at the end. I'll be courtside watching LJ in the Storm opener this weekend. It's going to be HAWESOME.
