I think most of my thoughts have been covered in the other post: we don't have to buy from the grocery stores packaged old meat we can buy from local farmers who raise the animals free range, they are not only healthier but really have a better taste once we realize that meat has to be chewed. Eggs from free range chickens have dark yellow yokes not almost white. Chickens that are free range actually have bones not just a little firmer meat at the center. Our government must be held responsible for inspections not only of slaughter houses, but imports= meat, toys, medicine. When the government gives tax cuts to companies if they take their manufacturing over seas they have to be held responsible for what is shipped back into our country. Once it was a sign of success to be a millionaire, now to be a success those at the top are becoming trillionaires at the expense of whoever is making that product for them. Whether it is the workers in the slaughter house or those little children making clothes to be sold by underwear companies. We are all disgraced by the slavery of the beginning years of our country, but aren't we headed to a world of slavery when the CEO's are making the salary of 400 of their workers, and stealing the pension funds of their workers and getting away with it. It is horrible to see animals treated this way but are working humans treated much better? Air conditioning not working in trucks, do we know how many factories don't have air conditioning, or even how many workers can't afford it in their homes?
alecs mom, hate to tell you but the republicans are actually recruiting their people as obama voters. they have web sites telling republicans we know our candidate, if you vote obama now you can still vote republican in november, vote obama in primary. been to those sights and read it
Dkmoorehead was it also a moment when she left the stage today in the middle of a campaign event to be with the family of a policeman killed in her motorcade? and took time to speak to the other policeman at the event instead of talking to her supporters? I am tired of people beating her up for being human and having emotion. I am very proud of the young men in my family because they are not afraid of showing emotion, it makes them more of a man not less. It is unfair to put Hillary in the position that she can't seem strong or emotional without being critized by Obama supporters. Will you be as hard on Michelle Obama in 15 years? She is on the same path as Hillary, except that she chose to take a path of strictly working for that 1.6 million dollar home instead of reaching out to help those that have not had it as easy as her.
virtue001 The last way I choose my president is who I want to sit and drink with. I want a sober intelligent and clear thinking president. I don't want to look at my president hung over and making decisions about the direction of our country.
CRL page 29 I think most people who are voting are individuals voting for a candidate that they agree with and whom they believe will work the hardest to get policies enacted that they (the voter) believes in, and the candidate with greasted ability to achieve those policies. not democratic activist, who believe that any one running as a democrat is good enough. Most of the time the democrats stand for what I believe in, but that does not mean that there can not be a candidate from the democratic party that I do not think would be a good president. And it does not make me or any other voter a traitor because we choose not to vote for the democratic nominee. I do not think Obama is qualifiied or principled enough to earn my vote and he will not get it.
Again Clinton wins on facts and the press gives it to him on his ability to make people swoon. What I don't understand is why anyone feels that this man with his superior attitude has any intention of working for the good of the people. I went over the written version of the debate several times and every question to Hillary was a challenge and a large amount to Obama was "and what do you have to say about what she just said. She was challenged, and interrupted repeatedly by Russert, to the point of not only being obvious but down right rude. But when you there is a real question to Obama you get a pictue of them on their knees and their hands begging for a crumb from the almighty. It is no wonder that he has this lofty opinion of himself.
