Hmmm... couldn't get it to let me post earlier.

I like the idea of accountability, and I'm happy to see Salon move towards it.

It really is fun to watch them all debate at last. I also enjoy Matthews most of the time, though some of the things he says at times make me want to tear my hair out.

Your enthusiasm makes it even more fun. Thanks.

I think Brian Williams is doing a good job with the questions.

The Dems better learn to handle the shrill questions, cause you know they're going to be bombarded with them once the campaign really gets underway.

Lots of them are trying to run over their time limits. They really really want to emote.

  • Just FYI

Links on your RSS feed are occasionally taking me to the Salon front page instead of your blog posts. No idea why, but it's a bit annoying.

  • YKSL rocks!

I watched this panel today at the virtual YK convention in Second Life, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I give Allen and Carney full props for having the balls to show up and engage the netroots face-to-face. I'm sure it wasn't easy.

I was a bit surprised that Allen praised Glenn so effusively, especially since Glenn took him on again in his blog just this morning (wonder whether Allen knew that?).

As for the comments and insults, Michael, it's not only old-school reporters who get them. Duncan Black at Atrios makes a constant joke about the people who tell him (all day long) how much his blog sucks. And if you follow any of the diary wars at DKos (I doubt you have the time), you'd see the kind of B.S. Markos takes on his own site, too.

But beyond all the drama, I hope that everyone today took away the good, clear criticisms that Glenn and Jill were making. I think this panel, overall, laid out our beef with the media very clearly, and for the most part without too much rancor.

I know we saw the whole panel streamed into YearlyKos in Second Life, but I'm not sure if it was saved. You might contact JayAckroyd at DailyKos - he was one of the YKSL organizers.

I haven't seen Hardball yet today (we usually watch it later in the evening), but John Cole at Balloon Juice has some YouTube footage of this evening's show. Apparently this organization is using footage from the 9/11 attacks in their advertisements, too, and Barnicle, bless his heart, asked Ari "How many Iraqis were on that plane?"

I'm not sure if Ari knows the answer is zero.

Anyway, it's always a happy thing to see you on my TeeVee, Joan.

I certainly hope tempest is wrong, but you really have to wonder these days.

I'm with you and digby, Joan, and with the many others who have said the same thing. Reid needs to force them to the floor again and again, make the filibusters real, make the Republicans pay a price for their obstructions. I don't care if it shuts the Senate down; it's not like they're getting anything done now anyway.

Blitzer was pretty ineffectual, but I thought it made for a better debate, really, because there was so much more back and forth. Definitely more interesting, at least.

Using Firefox's Sage add-on, I've always gotten full-feed articles from Salon's RSS feeds. I wonder why.

He'll never say the word abortion if he's not forced to. It's a complete loser in the general election, for him. We're going to have to push it in his face and make him eat it.
