Cindy McCain

I see on Huff Post that she's claiming Obama has run the dirtiest nastiest campaign ever-ever - WTF? How's that for projection. After the debate, when Obama was trying to shake hands with McCain, McCain sort of shoved Cindy into the space and Obama shook hands with her, smiled graciously, gave her one of his shoulder pats... I'd-a punched her myself. But killing with kindness is a far, far better approach. And you know what they say about revenge - a dish best eaten cold (at the White House dining table).

Very strange

that Palin, on videotape being exorcised by a witchdoctor, would bring up Rev. Wright, or, being married to someone who was (is?) a secessionist, would bring up the really barely-warm Ayers thing.

Waiting with anticipation for tomorrow's debate.

And, thank goodness, I'll be far, far away for the last half of October and pretty well insulated from news...and distracted by touristy things...I don't think I could keep my head from exploding otherwise. Good grief - talk about your domestic terrorists!

P.S. - Haha, Joan, you got caught tending your nose on Larry King. Understandable with some of those idiots you're on with, however....

Queen B

You did hear those Couric interview bits, didn't you? (And the debate, which showed more coherence, but still stupidity...?) What you're hearing from us lefties is terror that this idiot might gain the presidency. Whatever anyone says about Obama, he's got brains.

And another thing there, also

The SNL skit pointed out what looks to be the real thing - that Sarah got 'permission' to call Biden 'Joe' because, indeed, she had a couple of zingers ready using his name...

Takes comedy sometimes to highlight a lot of these things that otherwise perpetrators would get away with...

Oops, sorry for messy verbiage

Been listening to too much you-know-who.

Alas, the rest of us have to wait for November 4 to be our boils lanced and be able to sit easy...

bad taste

Hey, I'm all in favor of bad taste in a good cause...which I thought was (sob) implicit in my post.

I thought that marriage crack was in poor taste

...but, doggonit, it needed to be said, also.

"we want John McCain to leave, er, lead" - she actually said that? Wow.

How things change

It wasn't that long ago that a male politician choking up over his wife immediately was tossed to the sharks as being a wussy.

Who says the human race isn't improving? Oh, wait a minute, Sarah Palin is still a possible president...

How do you solve a problem like Sarah Palin?

Maybe with a high-powered rifle from an airplane.

Alternatively, how to you re-launch her? Maybe with a cannon.

Um, writing first and reading afterwards

So I may be repeating what other LWs have said.

But not being 'intellectual' is one thing, but being incoherent is something else. And for someone trained and experienced as a journalist to be totally flummoxed by journalists' question is surprising. And likeable? Only if you like mean-spirited people who get off snarky lines and smirk about them.
