Where's Glenn and the legalize prostitution choir now? Sex slaves shipped to Amsterdam for servitude? They say it ain't so! Legal prostitution stops this sort of thing and promotes human freedom, according to Glenn and the choir.
The world needs more Benjamin Skinners. Thank you for your dangerous and difficult work. You do more good than you even know.
I see why Camille likes talk radio - she and the hosts are vicious birds of a feather. It's one thing to assert a strong opinion, it's another to spew invective.
Why Salon supports this putrid excuse for discourse is beyond me. And I'd feel the same if she was accusing Obama and his male staff members of being "girly men".
Ever since she inexplicably decided to defend girlfriend beater Chris Albrecht's (the former HBO CEO) domestic violence in the NYT on the grounds that "he's successful and people like to work with successful people", I decided I would never pay a penny to watch her work again.
Several posters have said that they have not witnessed what Rebecca is talking about but I sure have.
I knew several Democrats that didn't like Kerry when he ran. The reasons were usually given in exasperated tones, but came off as reasonable. He wasn't hated, that's for sure. He too voted for the war. That was sometimes cited, but most were supporting him anyway.
When I have listened to Democrats who are against Hillary, the reasons are rabid and speaker often venemous. She's a bitch! She never did anything! She voted for the war! She seems to feel entitled!
There is clearly an energy there that is sexist. It's revenge against Mom, the mean teacher from grade school, and the assertive office bitch all rolled into one big, spitting, angry package. And it's a shame.
IMO the whole series was ridiculous. Somehow four women find true freedom by banging every guy out there. Sounds like a male fantasy to me.
have been known to yell this at the parental unit(s):
"I didn't ASK to be born!"
No mature adult actually takes them seriously. It's technically true but really too ridiculous to address.
No, the term didn't originate around cute, overpriced clothing.
Is this... um ... Freerepublic.com?
Do you folks remember that when OJ was arrested a newspaper ran a "darkened" picture of him with no prompting whatsoever? They just did it cause - well, maybe one of you who understands sociology can explain it cause I'm at a loss. "Scary black man stuff" is the best I can do.
Obama, if he wins as it seems he will, is about be the target of some of the most sinister race-baiting we have seen in some years, and that's saying something in America. Every nation has a curse. In some places it's the curse of religious violence. In others, it's class warfare. Our curse is racial and this, my friends, will get very ugly.
This half-baked salvo is just the start.
She's so inspiring - never give up, never say die. Tenacity is a virtue.
And the dark part of me is enjoying the whining of the Obama supporters. After the disgusting trashing they've put her and Bill through it's a pleasure to see you all get your comeuppance.
I think the real issue is he's not really her partner. They like each other. They have fun. They are comfortable as friends, but she doesn't really want a friend, she wants a mate - a true mate with whom she shares finances and a home and a life. In her heart she knows this man is not her mate. He's a good friend - a good, messy, cheapskate friend who can't let her into his life and talks about her retirement in such a way that it's clear he doesn't expect to be in her life that long. She's on her own.
It's true that you don't "have" to have a man. You can be happy on your own. But there is nothing wrong with wanting a love relationship either. To thine own self be true.
As Janice Soprano once said of Ralph Ciffaretto, "He bottoms from the top."
Perception is everything - I think Salon has a pro-Obama bias. You think it has a pro-Clinton bias. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle - some writers favor one candidate or the other and it bleeds through even when they are trying to be objective.
He should be grateful she's willing to serve with him despite his follower's viciousness. She would be a huge asset - she did win the popular vote by a landslide after all.

4. Wyoming; (by 2,066 caucus votes);
5. Guam (by 7 caucus votes) and
6. Vermont (by 32,100 votes).
Any questions, class? Especially about the will of the voters (as opposed to who can best game the system early in the game). These numbers are a graphic illustration of just where Obama's chances are headed - down, down, and yet further down
