  • Where is Obomba on this issue?

[Read the article: The dangerous hostility game with Iran]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

This is the really funny thing. If you are not against an attack on Iran, then you are for an attack on Iran.

Beyond making noises from his mouth about "talking" to Iran (about what, giving up their national sovereignty?) Barack "bomb Pakistan" Oboma is conspicuously silent.

"I was against obliterating Iran before I was for it." Barack Obama, Jan. 1, 2009 -- just like his support for the obliteration of the 4th Amendment.

And thorin, yes, America is in debt to China, but how can they collect? They have 18 liquid fueled ICBM's and 2 nuclear subs, one of which has never left port. Their ICBM's have a single warhead and take 2 hours to fuel. America has nuclear primacy, over Russia, and over China, the rest is irrelevant. If you want to understand the neocons and the Likudniks you have to understand how they think. Power is the only thing that matters.

  • McSame may not be a "natural born citizen"

[Read the article: Legal expert says McCain may not be eligible for White House]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

But he is a "natural born killer".

And wouldn't this rule out people delivered by Caesarian section as well? That's hardly "natural born".

Besides the only guy these people listen to to for legal advice is the excreable Mr. Yoo, and we know what he thinks.

  • Joan's "hero"

[Read the article: Another bad week for John McCain]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Sheesh, there's that "hero" canard again. McSame crashed or destroyed 5 planes, enthusiastically bombed civilians, got shot down, got tortured, sang like a canary, (hence his nickname, "songbird"), made numerous propaganda videos and had tea with his interrogator... and that makes him a "hero". Pretty low bar there Joan.

If McSame is a farking hero, what should we call Audie Murphy?

From his citation for the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Citation: 2d Lt. Murphy commanded Company B, which was attacked by 6 tanks and waves of infantry. 2d Lt. Murphy ordered his men to withdraw to prepared positions in a woods, while he remained forward at his command post and continued to give fire directions to the artillery by telephone. Behind him, to his right, 1 of our tank destroyers received a direct hit and began to burn. Its crew withdrew to the woods.

2d Lt. Murphy continued to direct artillery fire which killed large numbers of the advancing enemy infantry. With the enemy tanks abreast of his position, 2d Lt. Murphy climbed on the burning tank destroyer, which was in danger of blowing up at any moment, and employed its .50 caliber machine gun against the enemy. He was alone and exposed to German fire from 3 sides, but his deadly fire killed dozens of Germans and caused their infantry attack to waver.

The enemy tanks, losing infantry support, began to fall back. For an hour the Germans tried every available weapon to eliminate 2d Lt. Murphy, but he continued to hold his position and wiped out a squad which was trying to creep up unnoticed on his right flank. Germans reached as close as 10 yards, only to be mowed down by his fire.

He received a leg wound, but ignored it and continued the single-handed fight until his ammunition was exhausted. He then made his way to his company, refused medical attention, and organized the company in a counterattack which forced the Germans to withdraw. His directing of artillery fire wiped out many of the enemy; he killed or wounded about 50. 2d Lt. Murphy's indomitable courage and his refusal to give an inch of ground saved his company from possible encirclement and destruction, and enabled it to hold the woods which had been the enemy's objective.

  • A McCain Presidency just might be a good idea

[Read the article: Another bad week for John McCain]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Seriously, what is Obama going to do? He has a war to end, a monstrous debt, the absolute enmity of the world, and he has a bit of a terrorist problem. If he is elected -- in four years he will be a hated man. Is this really good for the Democratic party? Better to let the senescent McSame win and take the heat for the coming failures, wars of aggression and pending systemic failures.

I make these points even though I am utterly convinced that it really does not matter who wins. Anyone who makes it as far as being the nominee, for either party, is bought, paid for, and a complete tool of the oligarchy. The wars will continue, and your freedoms will continue to be taken from you - and you are not getting health care either. Hell, you probably won't even get to keep your job, they have Indians for that. Most certainly, the 1% who now control 90% or your wealth will get even richer.

Amazingly at lot of people in America still seem to believe that this candidate or that can "do something" -- well they can't; Obama might have meant well (unlikely) but then he got the call, they showed him the negatives, or the cash, and he got the message - you work for us boy -- capice? Capice.
