Glenn is too modest

The headline for this post would better read: Glen Greenwald Scoops the NYT - again.

If there is any justice, or even a remnant of a functioning press in America, then John McCain will lose the election. His many lies and prevarications will be exposed and he will be destroyed politically.

What I am really really looking forward to, is having some friends over with some beer and bud, to watch Obama "obliterate" this tired and lame little man in the upcoming town hall meetings.

Of course all bets are off if the Israelis attack Iran, as their Deputy PM is promising to do today... those of you who support peace and Obama might want to think about directing your considerable intelligence and energies to stopping this attack, which can only be accomplished with American support.

'Unavoidable' attack on Iran looms, says Israeli minister

Haroon Siddique and agencies

An Israeli minister has said an attack on Iran's nuclear sites will be "unavoidable" if Tehran refuses to halt its alleged weapons programme.

In the most explicit threat yet by a member of Ehud Olmert's government, Shaul Mofaz, a deputy prime minister, said the hardline Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, "would disappear before Israel does".

"If Iran continues with its programme for developing nuclear weapons, we will attack it. The sanctions are ineffective," Mofaz, who is also Israel's transport minister, said in comments published today by the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper.

"Attacking Iran in order to stop its nuclear plans will be unavoidable."

Iranian-born Mofaz is a former army chief and defence minister. He is a member of Olmert's security cabinet and leads regular strategic coordination talks with the US state department.

@ Oomex

Hmm, well I think Kerry was some kind of Manchurian candidate and was supposed to lose. Kerry was much smarter than Bush and a better speaker/debater; although this was nowhere evident in the debates. My cat Fritz, who can open a can of Pounce all by himself, would have done a better job - even without the ear piece.

American politics is now fact free in any event. Anything, and I mean anything, can be spun, or debated, or negated as your post attempting to exonerate buhs from the Katrina debacle demonstrates. Jesus, there there are still millions of Americans who think buhs is "doin a heck of a job" in Iraq! No, the facts don't matter.

When the undecideds, who are the only ones who matter in a polarized, pre-civil war America, see Obama, with his Kennidian oratory, magnetism, and superb rhetoric -- up against this old, tired, idealess man -- there can be little doubt who will win.

Sans the upcoming attack on Iran of course. Then the best killer will win.

The surge is working! The surge is working! Four more years! Four more years!

@ Oomex

You are generalizing. Just like "everyone" believed that there were WMD. Not "everyone" did. I most certainly did not.

I won't go so far as to say that I believed Kerry would win, especially since he was cipher to me. Once I saw him in "action", I quickly concluded that Mr. Wooden Head did not have a chance.

Having seen Obama, and being quite familiar with McCain, the faux "war hero" (Audie Murphy was a war hero (point of reference) I am confident that Obama will win. Sans the planned demolition of Iran of course.

Want to put $20 Canadian on it?

@ Sysprog "I was for the Constitution..."

"I was for the constitution before I was against it". - McSame

Ha ha, good one! There is so much content in that one line. You HAVE to expand that into a youtube video! If you don't, can I steal your line?

@ Simonetta -- so full of hate

"But after the horrible attack by the Arabs on Americans on Sept 11, we said enough. Now we start killing. And if it turns out that we kill a thousand for every one that they killed of our people, too bad." - Simonetta

America has killed 600,000 to 1.2 million people in Iraq. 3000 times 1000 = 3,000,000.

Your job of blood thirsty revenge is only half done. Why do they hate America? It's because of moral monsters like you.

You probably think you are a Christian.

Your post is probably on an Al Qaida site right now. What a wonderful recruiting tool you are.

Who are your people anyway Simonetta, and what dank pit of hell do they live in?

They are all guilty

Buhs said so. And he is the decider.
