McClellan is a better man than Fleischer

Fleischer got 500k for his lies, and Scotty is getting about the same for telling the truth, unfortunately for him, the sale value of those lies is now very low. You can get his book on Amazon today for just 1 cent. About what it is worth.

Simple Scotty was obviously having trouble sleeping with all that blood on his hands. It's a good thing he did not heed Fleischer's warning that Americans should “watch what they do and what they say,” (In response to a question from Helen Thomas about America not caring about Iraqi children.)

Yes, Scotty should have spoken out earlier but that would have been asking a lot of any man given the viciousness and power of these people.

Given his revelations, the real question is why do the press and the American people continue to give these people any more credibility than an infomercial?

A good place to start would be the administrations lies about Iran.

POLL RESULTS -- Iran's nuclear program

While 46% of those surveyed say military action should be taken either now or if diplomacy fails, 45% rule it out in any case. Republicans are twice as likely as Democrats to endorse taking military steps.

Roughly half of Americans now believe that killing tens of thousands (quite possibly more) Iranians will somehow make them "safer". This is a lie, in fact it is a "big lie".

Scotty McClellan, and too much Cappuccino Perino, are not the problem, credulous, ill-informed Americans are the problem.

If it is "largely symbolic"?

Then why in hell did this woman go to all this trouble?

I have nothing but contempt for this woman; after all, its not as though Obama is dangerous radical who must be stopped.

She is tearing the party, never very cohesive, apart.

What's her game? What's wrong with Clinton? She craves the power too much and can longer be trusted.

@ Double Standard

Comparing throwing pastors, churches and his grandmother (grandmother? wtf?) with what Hilary is risking, i.e. a schism in the Democratic party and the victory of John McCain is really silly. Rev. Wright is alive and well, the church is still standing and his grandmother has been dead for years. Where is the big crime?

Sure he wants to be President, but probably not so he can "obliterate" 77 million Iranians and start WWIII.

That's the best you got?

@ Rascal, into the "dazzling darkness"

I liked Bucky. He was a good man. He spoke well and defended his principles. Not knowing him in real life or even his real name, I was truly surprised at how touched I was at his passing.

And for it's worth, I like his idea about the "dazzling darkness". I won't forget that phrase or him.

Please keep his posts up, let his thoughts and ideas live on. And as others have said, you are always welcome here.

Goodbye Bucky.

Ari Fleischer on Scott McClellan

FLEISCHER: From what I'm hearing from reporters are telling me, this is a very tough book on President Bush. And that's what leaves me really just kind of heartbroken that Scott could do this, because Scott never once, Bill, ever came to me privately and expressed any misgivings or doubts about what we were doing, the lead up to the war in Iraq. And certainly, when he took the podium, he himself seemed to have his heart in it. He never said anything at the time that would make someone think he had doubts.

So, how now does Scott come to these conclusions? I don't know. It's a different Scott from the Scott I knew.

HEMMER: Seven hours ago, we spoke about this, Ari, and you said you were stumped. Do you still think that now?

FLEISCHER: I am stumped. I'm still stumped. I really don't know how and why Scott has come to this. And you know, especially, I was even thinking — after Scott left the White House, he continued to support the president and the war and defend the president. That was about a year ago, I remember watching him on TV doing that. So, I don't know what has changed for Scott. I wish I did know.

It's no surprise that a classic sociopath like Ari cannot understand why McClellan did what he did. He has to do with having a conscience Ari. A conscience.

And he never came to you with his doubts, because he knew you'd have informed on him for his disloyalty the second he left your office.

BTW if anyone would like to read the many lies of Ari Fleischer, the man who warned Americans that "should be careful what they say and what they do" it's available on Amazon for 1 cent. About what it's worth.
