Thanks, I could not have said it better myself. One caveat though, I meant what I said when I claimed electro was in a class of loathsomeness all by himself. I read and post here quite a bit, and honestly have never noticed this shawn person before. He appears to be a rabid right winger, but at least he makes an attempt, however wrong-headed and illogically to "justify" his positions. There are many like him, he is in fact pretty much the personification of the Limbaugh audience. Nothing special.

Electro is just a snarling, stupid, dog who attacks anyone who comes near his section of the junkyard; he has no other real issues other than his belief that the 'jooos" as he calls them, are in some kind of existential crisis. Oh, he will take the time to attack women and their issues on occasion, and he even hates homeless people, but really there is only one dimension to him.

I will allow that Shawn, through his support of this monstrosity, is in the same room. In fact they may even be roommates -- but electro surpasses even shooter and elephantman in his hatred and vile attacks on people who don't share his clinical obsessions. It is pretty clear to me that he is severely mentally ill. Some days, I even feel sorry for him. Some days.

  • They beat him up and this meant nothing

I used to work in the prison service here in Canada and I can assure you that if an inmate, no matter how uncooperative, was brought to a disciplinary tribunal, let alone a courtroom, in that condition, there would have been hell to pay!

Understand that this is a man who is controlled to a truly unbelievable degree. He is, in fact, completely helpless. If his "guards" (what an ironic title) could not manage to restrain this man without beating him they need training and they need it badly. More likely they need a lesson in humanity.

I have no idea whether or not he is guilty, although he should be presumed innocent, in no case should he be beaten.

OT I am not sure what MS ad the earlier poster is talking about. My "favourite" is the USAF ad that actually shoots a missile across the page. "Above All" indeed. It is however, a wonderful metaphor for an agency that regularly obliterates civilians in an attempt to kill "terrorists" in Somalia, the Afghan, and of course Iraq. Collateral damage is not collateral when you know it is going to happen.

  • @ Just my opinion - just my opinion...

English is obviously not your first language, so I will give you the benefit of a doubt, but you should know that "japs" is a racist, derogatory term. The 'japs' as you call them may have committed some atrocities in the past, but it is a fact that since WWII, their military has not killed a single human being -- anywhere on the planet. Please refrain from making racist remarks.

Using the shift key and the spell checker might improve your posts to the point of readability as well. You do want someone to read you don't you.

  • @ Pathfinder "whatever became of innocent until...?"

Whatever became of innocent until proved guilty? Years and years of cop shows, DA shows, and of course, the loathsome America's Most Wanted (that turned human hunting into a game ad a spectator sport). Each and everyone of these shows, and let's not forget the movies, has taught generations of Americans, that the only things the prevented the police from keeping Americans "safe" was the goddamn lawyers, Liberal judges, and of course that pesky constitution. The "good news" is that those are all gone now, as is almost any trace of the free country that America once was.

When was the last time that you met anyone, anyone at all, who actually believed that once arrested, an accused person was truly innocent until proven guilty? No, pathfinder my friend, they have been working on this project for a long long time.

Warrants? Warrants! We don't need no stinkin warrants!

  • What about "him"?

Why do people persist in asking, "What about him, he beheads or whatever" ?

These are separate cases. If Al Qaida (which does not exist) is chopping heads, in what sense does this justify beating up prisoners?

It's like your mother said about jumping off bridges.

If you don't have moral superiourity over your enemies, then what is the difference between you? How are you better?
