@ nob

Noriega. Noriega was declared a POW and then tried in a civilian court.

He is still in prison, despite the fact that his sentence ended nearly 3 years ago.

Free Noriega!

The tallest candidate usually wins the election too

The tallest candidate usually wins the election too, so what? It just means that we prefer "big monkeys" to lead the pack. It's called our nature, our biology. Sucks to be a primate.

Politics will never win out over biology.

Also just in, Commander Obama declares KSM "guilty", will be executed

"I don't think it will be offensive at all when he is convicted and when the death penalty is applied to him," Mr Obama said.

So why bother with at trial?

If anyone thinks that this farce, this joke, this travesty of trial, is going to get you any points, anywhere, outside of Boise, yer nuts.

Holder the Folder also hinted today that if the already convicted and executed terrorists are found not guilty, they will not be released in the United States.

Just in, Senior Canadian diplo says, every detainee handed over by Canada was likely tortured

This guy is credible, and he just ended Canada's "contribution" to fight against terribilism in Afghanistan with today's testimony in Canada's Parliament.

"According to our information, the likelihood is that all the Afghans we handed over were tortured. For interrogators in Kandahar, it was a standard operating procedure," Colvin said."

"According to a very authoritative source, many of the Afghans we detained had no connection to insurgency whatsoever," he said. "From an intelligence point of view, they had little or no value."

Colvin said some may have been foot soldiers or day fighters but many were just local people at the wrong place at the wrong time."

What about the "POW" Noriega

Noriega was originally classified as a "POW", a ludicrous assertion as America was never at war with Panama, they just invaded and killed 500 to 5000 people.

Noriega was eventually convicted in a court and sentenced for drug trafficking, etc. Despite the fact that his sentence ended in 2007, he is still being held.

We can go on and on about what is right, wrong or illegal, but it won't change a thing. KSM will be convicted and killed. The next guy will be convicted and killed. The rest of them will be held exactly as long as convienient, no more, no less. Most of the detainee won't be released until they die, or there is a functioning, law abiding government in America.

Kidnapping a suspected terrorist, holding him for years without due process, then trying and killing him is nothing compared to what they did Noriega. Please note, Noriega was "taken out" years before 911 changed everything. 911 changed nothing; it simply allowed the ruling class to drop the mask of democracy.

"What'cha gonna do when the come for you?"

Manuel Antonio Noriega (born February 11 1934)[1] is a former general and the military dictator of Panama from 1983 to 1989.[2]

He was never, contrary to popular belief, officially the president of Panama, but held the post of "chief executive officer" for a brief period in 1989. The 1989 invasion of Panama by the United States removed him from power; he was captured, detained as a prisoner of war, and flown to the U.S. Noriega was tried on eight counts of drug trafficking, racketeering, and money laundering in April 1992. Noriega's US prison sentence ended in September 2007;[3] pending the outcome of extradition requests by both Panama and France, he remains in prison as of 2009.

One of the things I have always admired about America

Was and is, the ACLU.

Only 'morans' don't understand that in order to protect everyone, you have to be ready to defend anyone!

So it wasn't President Lip Gloss who posed for those "sexist" photos?

Palin uses her sex appeal like an assault weapon. She knows that her "support" among Viagra snorting, pot bellied, never get any, cons, is almost entirely predicated on whatever sex appeal she has left before menopause sets in.

At some point, Palin will lose her looks, and then she is, well not history, but a footnote in history.

Doesn't the church...

Tell American soldiers that if they die doing "God's work" that they will go to heaven too?

I'm a bicyclist, and they can make me crazy too

Like the previous poster said, the percentage of assholes never changes, just their vehicles.

Two things about bikes drive me crazy, the idiot bicyclists who pass me on the left. And complete creeps who speed, absolutely speed, down crowded sidewalks.

As for cars, don't get me started. One of my favourites is the guy who is in the lane next to you, and then just decides to turn into your lane. Over the years I have learned to assume that any car that can change lanes, will change lanes.

I always tell new bicyclists the same thing. You don't exist, you are invisible, no car will ever see you or react to you in any way. If you obey those rules you will be safe from all the bike haters.

In the last decade

Cars have killed 43,000 pedestrians in the United States. Meanwhile bicycle may have killed 5 or 6. During the same period over 500,000 people died in car crashes.

Oil is half gone. This means that prices for gas will soon double and quadruple -- for starters.

Hate bikes all you want. You are all going to be riding a bike someday. You heard it here first.
