@ julieanna the elusive Mr. Hyman Brown

I found Mr. Brown. He seems to think that the steel melted!

"Dr. Hyman Brown from the WTC construction crew, claims that the buildings collapsed due to fires at 2000F melting the steel (1). He states "What caused the building to collapse is the airplane fuel…burning at 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. The steel in that five-floor area melts." http://www.septembereleventh.org/newsarchive/2004-11-11-ryan.php

"This building would have stood had a plane or a force caused by a plane smashed into it," he said. He also said that the buildings were designed to withstand 200 mph winds." Prof. Brown

There has been nothing from the now Prof. Brown lately on what he thinks, I suspect that his earlier comments were off the cuff. He was probably astounded that buildings this strong would collapse after a designed for plane impact any more than they would have collapsed in a strong wind and was disparately seeking a logical explanation.

He is not on record for 7 World Trade Center. His email is there in the links, maybe someone might like to ask him for his opinion today?

very odd picture of Obama - removed

Just wanted to mention that my earlier comment referred to a rather bad, too dark, oddly framed image of Obama, that was removed shortly after I posted.

I assume that Salon took another look at it, and wisely pulled it. It was, shall we say, unflattering to say the least.

Cell Phones on Planes

On topic. Could be dangerous, but I would rather crash than listen to a bunch of people yelling into their phones for hours on end (they would have to yell, because they are so high up) LOL

Off topic. Here is a good link to a discussion on whether or not the cell calls alleged to have been made on Sept. 11, 01 were even possible. They were not.

9/11 was an inside job.

Project Achilles Report Parts One, Two and Three

Preliminary low-altitude cellphone experiment

Dewdney's work is the best done to date I believe. There are a lot of reasons to conclude that the 9/11 calls were never made. They were in fact social engineering. Totally fake. There is no other explanation since cell phones did not work at altitude and speed in 2001. See hand off speeds, and areas of receptivity for cell phone antennae for more info.

The New York Times - A Liberal Newspaper

The funny thing is not that many right wingers believe that the NYT is a Liberal newspaper, but that some liberals still do as well.

First Judith (take a letter) Miller and now this smirking sanctimonious little swine. How long before we get the series of articles on the threat from Iran?

The irony is choking.

Who?

Edwards?

Why?

Corporations good. Edwards bad.

Cheney and the Stennis

Does anyone think that if an Iranian warship came anywhere close to America it would be destroyed? Most certainly it would be met with quite a bit more than speedboats.

Does anyone remember Cheney the undead last May, 150 miles off the coast of Iran making bellicose statements? No, of course not, it's all down the memory hole!

American War Ships in the Northwest Passage

The United States now regularly sends its ships through the Northwest Passage. Canada is not very happy about this, despite the fact that we have always given permission under pressure, in the past.

If Canada were to send a war ship or god forbid a motor boat out to see who's who and what's what in our back yard would that be a "provocation"?

When the Middle East is burning and the Strait of Hormuz blocked with sunken hulks where will America get its oil then? hmm...

"The US Minerals Management Service, which oversees drilling on the United States’ continental shelf, estimates that the Beaufort Sea could contain about 7 billion barrels of oil and 32 trillion cubic feet of natural gas."

… on Thursday as the Prime Minister-elect used his first post-election press conference to take direct aim at David Wilkins, the US ambassador to Canada, who last week described the North-west Passage as “neutral waters”.

Mr Harper was not asked by reporters about the ambassador’s comment, but he refused to let it pass unchallenged.

“The United States defends its sovereignty, the Canadian government will defend our sovereignty,” he said. “It is the Canadian government we get our mandate from, not the ambassador of the United States.”

Pro Wresting is Real!

Remember how, for decades, the professional wresting community would swear up and down that the matches were real, and not decided ahead of time? Finally though, it all got too silly, too obviously contrived to sustain and they admitted that yes, wrestling is fixed, scripted, just silly entertainment; good for a laugh, but not to be taken seriously.

Maybe it's time that CNN, FOX and soon enough, the New York Times, to admit just that, theater, a shadow play, nothing more than entertainment, whose whole purpose is to support the permanent government and the oligarchy. Nothing more.

I say go for it, wrestling never lost any ratings and neither will CNN. Most Americans don't want to know anyway.

One question he missed though, "President McCain, sorry Senator McCain, when you are the Unitary President, can I be your Press Secretary?".

Strait of Hormooz attack, Bin Laden

He's not dead! If you look closely, you can see Obama bin Laden, directing operations from the lead suicide boat! It's true I saw it on FOX! LOL
