  • It all Depends on What the Definition of "is" is

[Read the article: What Hillary won't say about torture]

No surprise that the great triangulator is prevaricating. What is a surprise is that after 40 or 50 years of torturing, rendering, et al, America is debating these practices. Why are you doing that? Do you really think that Hilary or anyone reverse a decades old program that "works?" The only difference today is that the practices (at least the relatively soft ones like water-boarding) are out in the open, unlike in the past when they were hidden and America could pretend it had half the world's resources with just a fraction of it's population because you worked so hard, were good and well, just the best ever, not because you just took what you wanted.

Obama will never be President so who cares what he says? Hilary is to replace bush. This is the script and the electronic voting machines will make sure of it, in fact it is a "slam dunk" in the parlance of the permanent government.

Read up on the Phoenix Program in Vietnam, then check into Chertoff's School of the Americas. America has been torturing forever and will not stop - ever. Hilary is just keeping her options, from water boarding to the Iron Maiden on the table. She knows that she will need them for the coming project in Iran.

  • Conspiracy Theories

Everyone know that all the security does little to nothing to make flying safer (Patrick in uniform = safe, Patrick not in uniform = DANGEROUS.) As Patrick has pointed out, it's stupid, counterproductive and costs an insane amount of money.

So why are they doing it? Ask a cheney/bush junta social engineer, and he'll tell you it's to create a sense of helplessness. After all, helpless people, (how many times have you heard the phrase, "There's nothing you can do anyway.") are the easiest to control.

What all this does do though is to condition Americans and their co-conspirators, the Brits, into obeying orders no matter how insane, ridiculous or evil.

That way, after another false flag attack on America, and the concomitant imposition of a "national emergency" by the cheney/bush junta; almost no one will say a word when they come for their friends and family.

  • Don't Torture Me Bro

Thanks bebop, for clearing that up. Garry is my brother from another mother. I often like what he says.

As my final word on this article I would like to say that America does torture. This is indisputable, after all the world has had 7 years of the cheney/bush junta - now that's torture!

Bfree4me, I am serious about the coup in America. Read Greg Palast's Armed Madhouse to see how they stole the last election. I knew the "Democracy in America" jig was up when Hilary refused to name a date for pulling the troops out of Iraq. What's up with that? Who wants that? Not the "people". Hilary the replacement puppet POTUS for the oligarchy, the secret government, whatever you want to call it. In the end, America will have it's next "election" decided by Diebold voting machines, with no paper record and secret software. And if you have a problem with that, take it up with Clarence Thomas. I don't need to know more than that.

If Hilary was not bought and paid for, totally controlled and ready to obey orders, does anyone think that Bush would hand over his regime to someone with the power to declare him an "enemy combatant" and render him to Syria for waterboarding? I don't think so!

  • 2 Minutes to Midnight

[Read the article: Bush and Musharraf's grand illusion]

By supporting yet another "evil dictator" Bush has pushed us yet closer to the brink of thermonuclear war.

I say this because there is now a very real threat of civil war in Pakistan. The day may come, and soon, when one group or another makes a run for the nukes. When this happens, if it happens, America, and probably Russia, will have no choice but take out the Pak arsenal before it can be used, or perhaps worse, moved.

The consequences of that action will be horrendous on a global scale.

They will have no choice about this. I would order the attack myself if I were in their place. In fact I am sure that there are those in the Pentagon who are arguing that we should take them out - tonight.

There is no solution to this problem except to prop up what's his name, and hope that will buy us some time until Condi can find a final solution to the Palestinian question. Jesus, we are in trouble aren't we?

    God save us all.
