My mother never worked outside the home a day in her life. Neither did my mother-in-law. They were both stuck in loveless marriages that should have ended long before death took one of them. Because they had no idea how to make their own way in this world without a husband! So, they were stuck in a marriage! Neither one had worked out of the home a day in their life and had no idea how to go about doing it. I stayed at home until my children were grown! But, I don't think they were any better for it than if I had worked out! I also lost my identity! I finally got out and started working and went back to school to get a decent job. I personally think it's a bad idea for a woman to limit herself to the home. The day is going to come when the kids leave home! When she will be forced by circumstances to get a life!

  • Not suited for the job

    [Read the article: Senator Hothead]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

We already have a President that's a loose cannon. Another one might put us in the stratosphere. The thoughts are terrifying.

  • Growing Tiresome

[Read the article: Hillary Clinton's bionic quest continues]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Her campaign for the White House is really growing tiresome. She is turning more people off than she is on. She has always had a severe image problem anyway. And keeping this going is only making it worse. It's time to bow gracefully out of the picture before she has ruined herself completely.

  • Untold Harm

[Read the article: Clyburn hits Clintons on tactics]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Senator Clinton's greatest concern should be with the Democratic Party winning in November and the countries overall welfare. Not with her campaign. It has grown derisive and crude. She is doing herself and the party untold harm in the eyes of a lot of us Democrats.

  • Administration has lied to many times

[Read the article: Skepticism toward Bush claims about Syria and North Korea]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I am sorry to say this Administration has lied to many times about countries with weapons of mass destruction. There isn't much that comes out of their mouths that I believe anymore. So I take anything they have to say with a grain of salt. There goal is to tear up the whole middle east.

  • It's all about religion

[Read the article: John McCain's serious foreign policy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

These people (McCain and Bush) are devout Christians and they follow the bible down to the letter. They see it as there biblical duty to defend Israel even if it means our own demise. I have heard so many Christian's say the same thing. We should defend Israel regardless of what it does. That's why the US policy is geared the way it is. It's all connected with the major religion of people in this country. In short religion controls this country and it's policies. There isn't much anyone is ever going to be able to do about it either. And as long as we are defending Israel's rights we are going to be the target of terrorist's bent on destroying us.

I think most Republican's are obsessed with terrorism. They see a terrorist behind every shrub. Which would probably be all right if they had ever done a thing to curb it with their policies. But, they haven't. Their rhetoric has only make terrorism worse. They use it as a political tool to get votes. It's like guns, gays and abortion. They have used those things for years to get the ignorant to vote for them. It's works every election cycle. They start saying the Democrat's are going to take away your guns. All the gun lovers fall instantly into line. So all McCain is doing is following party line. I learned to ignore Republican's years ago.

  • When are people going to get tired of being terrorized and brutalized by the Republican Party?

[Read the article: John McCain's bid for American Jewish votes]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I am so tired of the tactic's of fear I could scream. Don't these people (Bush and McCain) know anything else but a terrorized American public that are quaking in their boots???? I don't think they do. They certainly can't call attention to their successes because I have saw none. So all they can do every election is drag out the old fear machine again and crank it up for another season of fear mongering. How do you solve any problems in the middle-east when you refuse to even talk to the enemy???? Most of the Bush Administration's policies are in the same vein as these two. One's that aren't guided by any large of common sense. In fact, most of the policies come off to me as being something very immature people would indulge in. You don't make a possible ally out of an enemy by ignoring their existence. I can really understand why the people in the region hate us. When are people going to get tired of being terrorized and brutalized by the Republican Party? I certainly am. I will be a long time before I ever consider voting for them again.

  • McCain is sucking up to the demagogues

[Read the article: What should Obama do about Rev. Jeremiah Wright?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I believe someone said it previously but I will say it again because it's well worth repeating! The MSM thrives on petty issues! They try and be as derisive on non-issue's as they can. Just to manipulate people's belief's. It was clear on the last Democratic debate and is even clearer here. I am certain before this election is over they will have Obama's chances ruined with their venom if people listen. I can only hope enough people wise up and stop listening. I could care less about Obama's religion. I frightens me more that McCain is sucking up to the demagogues Hagee and Parsley! Because these people are more dangerous than Wright ever thought about being. McCain is courting these people in the most disgusting manner imaginable just to get a few lousy votes. McCain is the main stream media's chosen one for President. They will ignore all his faults and weakness in favor of glorifying him endlessly. It's sickening what they will do for a dime. Which is why I don't listen to any of the main stream media these days. Which ever Democratic candidate gets the nomination is who I will vote for. Because under no circumstances will I vote another Republican into office. McCain in not an option as far as I am concerned. It's more of George Bush if he is elected.
