Wyzzyrdd represents the sheer stupidity of trying to engage Republicanism

What in Christ’s name could have led Wyzzyrdd to imagine that the synaptic impulses dancing around in his head constitute an “opinion” that needs to be shared with others?

Move to France if you want French health care.

I wouldn't trust most government agencies to take care of my dogs, let alone my wife or children.

Let’s face it, your average tea-bagger is pushing the limits of his intellectual capacity in trying to convert oxygen to carbon dioxide. They are incapable of conjuring up a single observation that isn’t drawn straight from the toilet of Republican talk radio, and should be treated accordingly.

Mea Culpa

Pardon me, the tide washed up Rockybalboa while I was still dazzled by what I thought was the singular incoherence of Wyzzyrdd.

A (Hopefully) Justified Gliimer of Light

As always, I wish I had far more time to make some meaningful contribution to the conversation. But I must, at the very least, point out how profoundly encouraging the following sentence is:

These latest revelations, and the ones to come, can be used to expand and channel this substantial public opinion to pressure Holder to ignore Obama's wishes and instead act in accordance with basic legal principles that compel equal treatment under the law, rather than the two-tiered justice system (legal immunity for political elites) that is becoming increasingly undeniable by the day.

Moreover, my own view is that Glenn’s relentless, deeply contemptuous exposes of the corporate media’s stenographers are precisely what’s needed to turn the tide of public opinion – or at least a critical mass thereof – against this wriggling swarm of David Brooksian sycophants.

Likewise, it simply isn’t possible to repeat the repellent “this is a time for reflection, not retribution” formulation with sufficient frequency, a turn of phrase so unctuous, so intellectually vapid, so palpably full of shit, that it should forever serve as the brush with which to tar Obama as the greasy rat he has been on this issue.

Betzee (and Obi Wan and Bill Pilgrim), Stop With All These Goddamn FACTS Already

If you guys keep insisting on introducing all this empirical reality into the conversation, there's a real possibility you may disrupt the life-giving connection between Againsti's mouth and Rush Limbaugh's ass.

Oh, and Againsti, two points to consider:

1. Try not to get carried away with too much fulsome pride at having voted for Obama. Lots of other douchebags did too.

2. Spend a few minutes looking up "ad hominem," so you can distinguish yourself from all the other dolts who misuse the phrase with such confidence. Calling you a douchebag, for example, doesn’t count. Particularly when my point is precisely what a douchebag you are.

Guess what? NAMBLA officials oppose prosecuting 50-year-old men for screwing 10-year-old boys

Are we supposed to give flying shit that McCain, Lieberman and Graham are opposed to prosecuting Republican criminals for committing Republican crimes?

And – as Timothy3 asks – what’s with the “prosecutions-are-probably-moot” line? If that’s merely a prediction from Koppelman’s crystal ball, then – once again – who gives a damn? Everyone knows it’s an uphill battle to achieve any accountability for these gaping assholes. If, on the other hand, it’s a position advocating what the disposition of the matter should be, then we’re damn well entitled to an explanation of why these scumbags can’t or shouldn’t be held criminally liable.

Exrugbyguy:

I'm not sure what the hell you're talking about, but I am pretty sure you sound like an asshole.

Tiger Fan: A Really Trenchant Observation!

You didn't say why greater income disparity is bad, just that it's there.

Nor, of course, did Leonard explain why torture is immoral, why ignorance and poverty are bad, or, for that matter, why a bouquet of roses smells better than a steaming pile of dogshit.

All in all, about equally valid criticisms.

There's a Critical Difference Between Now and 1976

Alas, there was another virulent contagion missing from America in 1976, i.e., the plague of Republicanism, spread by an ignorant, lazy herd of bovine half-wits wallowing in the toilet of Republican talk radio. A disease that would surely cause those afflicted to welcome the deaths of thousands Americans in the hopes of discrediting the President of the United States, just as they now spend their days dreaming of teabagging Dick Cheney and salivating over the prospect of another 9/11 attack.
