  • Same ol'

[Read the article: Was the 2004 election stolen? No.]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Why is Manjoo still on your payroll? You are pissing me off!

  • it was funny

[Read the article: Tom the Dancing Bug]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I've worked for WDI, & know people still there, though not much left. Thought the toon was funny in an ironical kind of way,

  • Blumenthal's article

[Read the article: "Mission Accomplished" in a business suit]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Again and again this Bush Administration has shown itself to be the worst of the worst of the worst. And there are too many right wing nut jobs lurking on this site.

  • Larry King

    [Read the article: Dethroned]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

He is another reason I'm finally getting off cable & going to satellite, Dish, so I can get the adult news program, BBC.

  • Movin on

[Read the article: Couric to Bush: "I'm really grateful. Thank you. Thank you"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I quit watching MSM a long while ago, morning shows are just a joke. I turn on CNN in the morning just to see if the world has blown up, it didn't, then I have to turn it off. I turn to radio, Pacifica, Amy Goodman is the best, AirAmerica & NPR for my daily info. NPR can be problematic though. Just got off cable with the dish, now can watch BBC, Link, FSTV in addition to news standbys Olberman & Comedy Central. Lots of alternatives.

Question. Why are the 29% stupidest people in America controlling the agenda? I don't get it.

  • Get Real

    [Read the article: Obama's magic]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I have to agree with azathoth & jason. The democrats have got to be realistic in our dog eat dog world of politics. Ignore the current media feeding frenzy, this country is a long way from a having woman or an african-american president.

  • Time

[Read the article: Seeing the light -- of science]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Some just people don't comprehend how long a million years is, or 100 million, or 300 million, etc.

Maybe science can be a religion, accumulating knowledge to take us back to the beginning of what's it all about.

  • name the decade

[Read the article: Zombie nation wakes up]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Due to damage done and damage to come it could be called the Decade of the Idiot.

  • Yes lame

[Read the article: Billy the Greek]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The article by Scherer is a bit lame. I like Richardson too, I only hope he can get some traction. The early media frenzy over Hillery & Obama may be the kiss of death for their campaigns. Funny, I don't see any frenzy over any Republican candidates. Anyway the lumpen American public probably won't vote for a half African-American,

a half HIspanic or a woman anyway, at least not this time.

  • Get a clue

[Read the article: MoveOn moves in with Pelosi]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I completely agree with Jim H., that Code Pink characters antics during Plames testimony was a disgrace, & as predicted the mostly worthless media played with it ad infinitum. Compromise is the only reality in this political climate. What if the Dems lost this one due to the ideologues, the Repubs would be crowing to high heaven. And earth to John Stewart, enough of the cynicism about Gore, he's one of the good guys, remember!

  • Madam Speaker's detractors

[Read the article: To Damascus with Nancy Pelosi]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Victoria L.;

Ahem. I tried to avoid this immature response to your post, but couldn't. You are an idiot. Get some world view, do some traveling. The rest of the world doesn't look or act like us. Also fake Snoop, the same.

  • Gun Nutz

[Read the article: Repeal the Second Amendment]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

It's amazing, or maybe not so, how the gun nuts swarm every comment/response to any article having anything to do with regulating firearms. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE! It's obvious this country is still to immature to take personal responsibiliy seriously.

  • fences

[Read the article: Is Rush Limbaugh right?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

For all you dumbass Republicans & xenophobes out there, the fence has not been invented high enough to keep desperate people out. The thieving corporations looking for slave labor must be made to obey the law, & the governments of Mexico & the other Central & South American countries who's citizens are leaving to earn a living here need to be encouraged & supported & coerced to up their economies so their citizens don't have to leave. Some of that Iraq money would do good here.

  • Joan Walsh opinion

[Read the article: Keith Olbermann calls it "betrayal"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"Ouch. To me, it was a little over the top."

Yes, this is the sucky & spineless speak typical of so many equivocating Democrats.

If you were serious, then you would get serious.

A twenty-year old's body was pulled from a river in Iraq today, tuesday. A family in Torrence is probably destroyed. Another death for nothing, and you know the rest.

If this is Democrat tactics, then it needs a re-think. More twenty-year old's can't be an expendable option.

MSM in general sucks, forget Network, its irrelevant & I can't have CNN on longer than 10 minutes before turning it off in anger. It's Olbermann & BBC for TV news for now. Sad.

  • from personal experience 5 or so years ago, may have changed.

[Read the article: Ask the Pilot]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

a worst, Bucharest, no escalators & very surly security

a best, Prague small but beautiful

    a most chaotic, Frankfurt

  • Ms. Walsh you're still lame

[Read the article: Do Dems now share equal blame with Bush for Iraq? No]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The Democrats don't have to do give that dumbass anyhing, and Dennis Kucinich explained it very simply on Democracy Now thursday morning.

Also, I don't need to see expanded coverage of dumbass movies. This site is going downhill faster than something...

  • that's not all LA

[Read the article: I love L.A.]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

AfterThat, you are a moron from the provinces, Las Vegas has real people living there too, just like any other city, get off the strip. It's just real hot in the summer.

borinquena, you are so right, I stay out of the West Side when ever possible. There is so much more to this wonderful megalopolis, just stay off the fwy & take the short cuts to get around. Plus the weather & the beach, can't beat it.

  • Criminality

[Read the article: Bush and Cheney walk, too]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I was getting really pissed at those morons Morannis

& Titus & Anonymous whatever with their incessant blathering, but by the end I calmed down, just a few idiots posting in seething sea of even more pissed off people. TIME TO IMPEACH!

  • Turkey the ancient

[Read the article: In the wonderland of ruins]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Some people should just give it a rest for a minute. I too was in Antalya for last year's total eclipse, in the spring, the weather was great. I was there for the TSE, but also to absorb the milleniums of history. Troy, not just a pile of rubble, (though the horse from the Hollywood movie as a monument in the nearby city of I believe Canakkale was bizarre). Byzantine churches in caves in Cappadocia, the Hittite's in the Ankara archaelogical museum, the Dervishes. There you just feel it. Was a wonderful experience, even with the police shoot out first night in Istanbul, and missing a PKK bombing in front of our hotel in Taksim by a day.
