Russia does indeed have a poor record of training female cosmonauts, having only put 3 women into space, where as the American have put 41 trained female astronauts into space.

But the Russians did put the first woman into space (they also put the second woman into the space), and they did put more than one up there.

BS65 has written some I agree with, except the dangerous and risky part. The reason why there are not many US female astronauts, is because the US military (all branches) had discouraged women from pursuing careers as pilots.

One of my favorite quotes from the beginning of the Iraq invasion was when an ex-general, who was commentating for I believe FOX News, spoke of his love for the A10 (tank killer) Warthog, and how proud he was that both his son and daughter flew the aircraft.

To BS65, in regards to your last comment I suggest you visit the Dutch Navy.

To Jim Parson, the reason why not too many woman have pursued careers as coal miners, is because it is dangerous and risky.

In the budding manned space flight industry, which has not yet gotten to commercial success level, The Americans have suffered two in-flight accidents that killed 14 people, and the Russian have also suffered two in-flight mishaps that killed 4. Out of 258 combined American/Russian/Chinese manned space flights, 4 accidents can hardly cause the very experimental industry to be considered dangerous and risky.

Coal mining on the other hand has a long storied history of be risky and dangerous, and throughout history mining of an any sort has been reserved, by most societies, to slaves and criminals, the poor, and the uneducated. Where as all men and women that have been put into space are widely celebrated heroes in their respected nations.

To Jim Parson, you are not suppose to tell women of our exaggeration of measurements.

Uhh, not me. BS65, as usual you have little grasp of what women go through, which I see as further proof that it has been a long time since a woman has been in your life. I can’t think of too many men that disturbed their lives to meet the demands of their wives of girlfriends, and quite to contrary, it is common to meet women that quit their jobs, moved away, went on diets, joined gyms, stopped seeing their best friends, and got plastic surgery just to please the men in their lives. The customers of plastic surgeons are overwhelmingly women, and the primary reason for getting their plastic surgery, is to make themselves more appealing to men, which does cause society to objectify women even more.

Though I am having trouble understanding the similarity of the reductive qualities of the veil, or lack of veil, and lip surgery.???? One is an issue of faith, and the other is an issue regarding increasing one’s sexual appeal. If you are more or less of a committed Muslim, are you more or less sexually appealing?

However, my darling, Marjane Satrapi, must have been onto something, as talk about anuses and DSL (dick sucking lips) has increased a lot around here since my coworkers saw her interview, and yes, the topic of worshiping both has come up.

You and I must live in very different social circles. I am sure that some guys do go on diets, join gyms, and abandon their best friends, at the request of the woman in their life, I just don't know any, and in my occupation I have to attend gyms regularly, and keep my weight down. I have yet to meet a man that goes to the gym or goes on a diet for reasons other than healthy or occupation (or to meet women). And, once again this is just what I have seen in my social circle; most of the men I know would dump their wives or girlfriends if they were told by their wives or girlfriends to stop seeing their best friends. Women are much more concerned about their sex appeal and having a man in their life than men are about their sexual appeal and having a woman in their life. If you don't believe that, then you are even more delusional than I had thought.

Lying about sexual prowess, taking baths, and buying new clothes do not constitutes making disturbing life changes.
