Oh Dear BS65

"FetGirl, I feel like ripping you a fresh hole 2day"

Resorting to rape threats today. That a new low even for you.

I won't say I that I want you banned for threatening to rape me, but that would seem good reason to ban you.

Obviously you don't read too many of my letters, or you would know I am firm supporter of the Second Amendment, a gun freak, a serviceman, and a strong advocate of martial arts training and self-defense (and I wouldn't for one second hesitate to defend myself against you).

Also I never said men enjoy war, I said I wish men would never start wars.

To leftychris

"You said just before this post that you'd guess women to be at least 9 times more likely to suffer DV violence than men. The government statistics (the CDC can hardly be described as a biased source) flatly contradict your contention"

As you said yourself it was a guess, not a contention. Also even if my guess was exceeding the actual figures, then that would make my guess an excenuation not a contradiction. Whether it was 3 times as much or 9 times as much, men still commit DV far more often than women do.

"Adult victims? Sure, of course. But if we're talking about child sex abuse,"

The CDC figured sited were on intimate domestic violence, not child abuse.

"Good luck! Social science "research" conducted or provided by social and political advocacy groups is notoriously unreliable and exaggerated."

Let's give NOW some respect, and wait until we can figure out their method for writing their statistics.

"Men, on the other hand, have not been given the same options, and end up killing more often in abusive situations. There are fewer "escape hatches" for them than there are for women."

Never have I heard of an abuse shelter or support service turning away an abused man, and, since I know a little bit about law enforcement, I can say that police are trained not to assume that women are always the victims in domestic disputes (I have seen women get handcuffed, even though they were the ones that made the call to the police, but from personal experience I have seen men get handcuffed at least 9 times as often as women were). Also your argument implies that men only kill in domestic violence situations as a means of self defense. This is just my personal belief based on my personal experience, but I have never seen a husband murder his wife as a means of self defense. I have seen several women that killed their husband in what was obviously self defense, and I did hear about a woman that came home, found her husband in bed with another woman, went out to tool shed, grabbed an axe, and buried it into his cheating face just above the eyes (on a good note the husband survived, but even plastic surgery couldn't get rid of his scars. And the moral of the story is; don't piss off a woman that just came home from a 3 month deployment). She did, rightly, get sent to prison after a trial.

Masturbation

Leftchris, were it not for the fact that I respect you, I would have twisted your letter against you. Be careful my friend, the world isn't as safe you might think.

Recreational sex (and masturbation) isn't a spectator sport, just watching people have sex (or masturbate) is entertainment, and learning and developing sexual techniques is a hobby.

However, wouldn't it be great if we had sex sports, where sexual athletes could compete against each other to win sexual competitions by scoring high marks from judges base on their technique, style, longevity, recuperation, and originality?

My friend, you may have inadvertently come up with a very good idea.

I'm sorry. You're the one that came up with that great idea.

You have my deep apreciation.

To AKA Smith

Yeah, this thread has dramatically gotten off topic, considering the article was about how great feminists are at love, sex, and romance.

Love, sex, and romance are topics I find a lot more interesting than domestic violence. I have seen too much domestic violence in my life.

Yeah, we are the police department on ________ base thought the woman's attempted murder conviction was proper, but we had a hard time feeling sorry for the guy.

In case you are wondering, I was part of the base Auxiliary Security Force (which was a big job considering I was working there during 9/11, or 80 hours straight of no sleep), and my primary job was as a server administrator for their camera surveillance system.

AKA Smith, there are so many of my stories I would like to share with you. Do you want to exchange e-mail addresses?

If so, please send me an e-mail to sbull3@gmail.com. It's a BS, nameless account that I use only when I want to send e-mail anonymously, but I would give you my real e-mail address. Don't worry, I told my wife I am fetboy.

If you're interested please send an e-mail to sbull3@gmail.com with something in the subject field, and then write a letter to salon.com with the same subject line (remember that order) so that I will know it is you.

If exchanging e-mails addresses is too personal, don't worry I understand.
