[Read the article: The science of strippers' tips]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Humans (and dolphins) don't go into 'heat" but other non-human females do fornicate for non-reproductive reasons."
Do those other reasons include recreation, emotional satisfaction, and enjoyment? Do those females of other species fornicate to promote long term family stability and monogamy? And has there been a study to determine if other animals quest for the almighty female orgasm?
I am not trying to pick on you, but you have to admit those are interesting questions?
The female orgasm (or the male orgasm if you are a gay man), and the quest for it, is what really defines us as human. Since the dawn of humanity (when Lucy's children learned to walk upright), (straight) men have put tremendous effort into inspiring enthusiasm in women, because we love it when women want us, and allow us into the comfort of their caves. The goal of the patriarchy has been to obtain legitimacy (through law or religious texts) for men to take that comfort, without having to earn it or ask for it.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]I don't know anything about the RED QUEEN, and nor do I care to know anything about it. I choose to take a purely empirical approach to understanding how people behave. The answers are right in front of us, and all we have to understand each other better (and men have a sad ability to completely ignore all women, and men of lesser economic means).
True, men do care about the offspring being their's, but this is not true for our closest cousins the chimps, and I would argue that men are more concerned about controlling their women than they are about who sired the offspring. Chimps use a panmixia approach to procreating, which insures that no male knows which child might be his, only that at least one of them might be his. People, both men and women are ruled by emotion, as emotion has inspired all of humanities accomplishments, creative endeavors, goals, ideals, and future plans. And the first emotion that our ancestors felt (other than primal fear) was sexual gratification, primarily on the part of the female, and then later on the part of the male.

The truth about Ron Paul!
[Read the article: Rudy, Mitt, Fred or John]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Fact; he is in favor of overturning Roe vs. Wade, and would appoint Federalist judges that would do just that.
He believes the best medicine to solve the problems with the individual government services is to do away with them all together, which is kind of like killing patients rather than helping them to heal. I got problems with my government, but I would rather fix it than kill it, because I know without government we would have chaos, very similar to what is happening in Iraq right now. If you hate government, public infrastructure, public services such as; trash collecting, fire departments, police departments, tax revenue collecting, the securities and the exchange commission, HUD, public transportation, public schools, public hospitals, national defense, disaster preparedness, and etc, then by all means vote for Ron Paul, but if you have faith in humanity, society, and believe that government can be used as a tool to make social advancements happen, then vote Democrat.
I have always seen little difference between libertarians and anarchists.
