Original article: Ranking Obama's final four

Montana Governor

Mr Schaller, your bias is showing through, which is not good when you are trying to be objective.

My list goes as follows, and in order; Schweitzer, Evan Bayh, Tim Kaine, and Sebelius, followed closely by Jack Reed and Anthony Zinney.

Why else was Obama in Montana on the Forth of July (his daughter's birthday), unless he was seriously vetting the Arab speaking, Middle East expert, with impeccable executive credentials, for the second in command post. Also keep in mind Virginia, Kansas, and Indiana are all states that will probably go for Obama even if he doesn’t take a state wide politician from those states as his running mate, but Schweitzer is the best man to help bring the very libertarian Great North states (Montana, North and South Dakota, and possibly Idaho) into the Democratic Party fold (that would be a pickup of 12 very red electoral votes). Also the state of Montana has two Democratic Senators, neither of which is likely to retire anytime soon, so the best way to utilize Schweitzer's talents would be as the second man/potential 45th president.

Evan Bayh has easily got the best resume for VP (Richardson's is actually better, but he seems all but assured of getting the Sec of State post), and will boost Obama's standing in the rust belt states, and he makes an ideal successor to Obama.

The Spanish speaking Governor of Virginia is a perfect fit for an Obama administration, but the man has only been governor for three years, and the Democratic Party may lose more with him out of Virginia than win with him in DC. Kaine is a good successor for Obama, but it would better for Kaine to make that jump for the state of Virginia than from the VP office.

I think it is rubbish to say that voters are going to really care if a woman other than Hillary is on the Obama ticket. The only people who will care are the Hillary die-hards, and they make a very small percentage of vote, and do you think these people are going to vote for McCain? Governor Sebelius brings a lot to an Obama administration; mainly her impeccable executive experience, and her ability to work well with hard right factions without out giving up too much ground, but she would do the Democratic Party better running to replace one of the Kansas' two extreme right Senators in the senate.

Jack Reed and retired general Zinney don't bring much to the table, other than foreign policy credentials, but after Obama's successful tour of the Middle East, Afghanistan, and Europe he may not need to make foreign policy a big pitch in his bid to be US President.

Original article: Toilet talk

"Men, does this ever happen in the guys room?"

Speaking as a man that spends quite a lot of time in an office building's men's room that gets quite a lot of traffic, I can honestly say that in the toilet area there is little to no talk at all, and ever since Larry Craig's "wide stance" incident there has been even less.

But in the back part of the office building men's room, that I use, there are showers and lockers, and in that area there is quite a lot of very interesting conversation going on. In the locker room/showers I have gotten everything from stock tips, to marital advice, to cheating advice (don't worry I never use any of it), to parenting advice, and information on how to find everything from quality dress wear for men (we never talk about fashion), to theater tickets, to the best place to find a good time.

It was the same way in a ship's male berthing area, which was basically a bedroom I shared with a 100 other guys from literally every state in the union, and in the lounge area of said bedroom there was quite a lot of interesting conversation going on. But the lounge environment was a lot like "fight club", and the first rule of fight club is; we do not talk about fight club. And the second rule of fight club is; we do not talk about fight club. And trust me, women you do not want to know what men talk about in the male berthing areas of US navy ships.

Original article: The bikini theory

To Bigguns again.

A drop in 10 IQ points would be a 20 point drop in hotness.

Helen Mirren is actually quite smart, which is one of the many reasons why she is so hot.

The word "ditz" has never been associated with Helen Mirren. She has always been a cultured and intellectual beauty, and the roles she accepted in the movies she acted in reflect that fact.

I thought the topic was about flaunting beauty, and I can say I deeply respect the fact that Helen Mirren flaunted hers in such respectable artistic displays.

To Bigguns

I did not mean to imply that Helen Mirren was not steamingly hot today, or to suggest that she was more hot in "The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover" than she was in "The Queen", and my point is she has always been hot (in fact you could make the argument that she is slimmer now than she was in "Cook"), but in my opinion she was at her hottest in "Caligola", and I am glad the images of her in that movie are immortalized forever.

To the best of my knowledge she is still a natural beauty, and she definitely was in "Caligola".

Yeah acarsaid

Helen Mirren was hot 20 years ago, and even hotter 29 years ago when she played Caesonia in Tinto Brass's Caligola.

Warning; do not look at this link if you are offended by goddess like beauty and nudity.

Thank you Helen Mirren for immortalizing your beauty forever.
