Just think

If Palin wasn't a female none of this talk would even be happening.

Obama didn't even seriously consider any aspect of the financial bailout and then voted for it! (!!!) Of course, no one mentions this.

Palin still has more experience going into the vice presidency than Obama is trying to take into the presidency. Of course, you would all be fools to ADMIT this even though you all know it.

Never has so inconsequential a government post so mesmerized the people as Sarah Palin's possible VP spot.

Palinphobes are making a mockery of both the Democratic Party AND the blogosphere.

Release your hate. Ask Obama what he was doing when the Senate and the House was debating the bailout. Ask him why he voted in favor of it. Ask him why he sat on the fence during the most important time affecting the lives of billions of people around the world.

You people don't give a rat's ass about "leadership." All you want to do whine and cry. I'll have to admit that you've had so much experience you're very, very good at both whining and crying.

Unfortunately, you've become irrelevant. Thinking is secondary and leadership is also irrelevant. Now all you do is promote divisiveness, hate and a severe lack of brain power.

Palinphobia is illogical, irrational and demeaning. It makes you all look like children. In turn, it makes the Democratic Party look like children because you people are the loudest mouths around.

Watch what you say.

Let's talk about Biden for awhile. Check this out.

From Joe Biden's interview with Katie Couric on the CBS Evening News:

"When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened.'" (Direct quote.)

Let's disassemble this piece by piece:

FDR wasn't the president in 1929.

No Americans had televisions in 1929.

Is this guy a moron or what?

Even worse, the greatly esteemed Ms. Couric didn't even know he'd made such a horrendous goof.

Didn't any palinphobes watch Joe's interview?

Heh.

If there's ONE good thing that came from this it's the undeniable and unceremonious burial of the myth of redistribution of wealth.

You've just witnessed $billions, if not $trillions, in pure, unadulterated WEALTH go *poof* into thin air.

Disappeared.

Evanescenceville, baby!

Gone.

No one got it. It's GONE.

No need to cry, it's over.

Heh, again.

@blunderdog

You sound just like some of the people in 1929. Have you been reading about that?

As usual

The tolerant side is intolerant in regard to Christianity. Reality is overcome and common sense is a myth created by "The Others." You need only look at the lack of common sense which is the focus of the article and the posts afterwards. You are your own worst enemy and always will be.

The hatred of Christianity, and the overbearing tolerance of every other religion except Judaism, comes from a supreme overdriving force which the weak-minded find hard to resist. That force has a name: Guilt.

Taliesan

I lived in Sweden for 3 1/2 years. The Sweden you described is not the Sweden I know. The Sweden I know is one where about half the population counts an XBox 360 as a major purchase. Then they save to buy games for it.

The Sweden I know is one in which I made half again as much in my job and took less home due to taxes.

The Sweden I know is where, in an entire block of "middle class" people there wasn't one single wide-screen television when many of the poorest in this country have at least one.

The Sweden I know is where you spend $14 a gallon (Converted to gallons and US$.) for fuel for your car and wonder why Americans gripe about $5.

The Sweden I know is where you have a cell phone only because it's subsidized.

The Sweden I know is where everything is subsidized and then you're taxed out of your ass to pay the subsidies.

I'd suggest actually visiting a few of these places you long to live in before coming here and making yourself look like an ignorant parrot.

And don't start spouting this crap about where you read it because, like I said, I've been there.

I think the people of Sweden are absolutely marvelous. I count quite a few of them as among my closest and most trusted friends. However, given a choice of living here or there for the rest of my life, I'd choose here whether I gave it careful consideration or not.

Huh?

How do you address "rampant wealth inequality?"

"Hey, you there! Don't make so much money! JEEZ!"

@cabdriver

I'm all for anything that can be shown to actually work. So, we pay workers more money for the jobs they do; where does this money come from?

Let's say a retailer starts paying their employees $20 an hour instead of $10 an hour. This sounds most excellent but where does that money come from? Do you think the Government should subsidize that? If they don't, are you willing to pay $7 for a gallon of milk? $10 for a gallon of gasoline?

What happened to that extra $10 an hour I was making?

If the government does subsidize it, where does that money come from?
