Your obnoxious, irrational and illogical attack on the one woman in the United States you're most terrified of does not help the cause of the Democratic party.
I found the article to be full of crap.
Let's take this little tidbit as an example:
Palin apparently still believes the ur- lie of the Bush administration, that Saddam Hussein was involved in 9/11. On Sept. 11, she told troops shipping out to Iraq, including her eldest son Track, that they would "defend the innocent from the enemies who planned and carried out and rejoiced in the death of thousands of Americans."
I hate to break it to you, Gary, but we haven't been fighting Saddam for years. In fact, he's d-e-a-d. The main people we're fighting in, and want out of, Iraq is the exact same people who orchestrated 9/11. How you've failed to learn that in the last few years is beyond my comprehension.
Let's see, here. This one was my favorite:
The peculiar thing is that this only applies to politics: voters who would not dream of taking their car to an incompetent mechanic or their body to an unlicensed physician have no problem electing totally unqualified candidates to perform the most difficult and important job in the world, simply because they identify with them.
To the untrained (Meaning those who don't know you're terrified of Gov. Palin.) eye, it would appear you're talking about the PRESIDENTIAL (The guy actually running for the lead position.) candidate, Barak Obama. You know, the guy no one had ever heard of outside of Illinois before he announced his candidacy. The guy who has no experience to bring to the job of running the country. Those 2 things Democrats seem to be unable to mention unless they're talking about someone else.
All in all, I'd give your waste of my time a score of 3 out of 10. I was generous because your spell/grammar checker is a good one.
A word of advice to those terrified of Gov. Palin and know how to type: You're hurting your cause. Don't attack people you're afraid of. I'd love to hear what the Democrats can do for me, not what mud and illogical ranting and crying they can do. You give me what I expect to be given from Obama. Which is forget about the real world and let's do that fantasy thing again like we did 16 years ago.
Thanks for listening.
I agree with you, Andrew, and I'm a card-carrying Republican semi-conservative. Isn't that amazing for Salon.com? :)
I don't think anyone really thinks the government is going to just hand over $700 billion. That is patently absurd. We've got to get something in return.
Those members of the legislative branch, both Democrat and Republican, who have the most to gain are the ones who are all for it.
Investors smell a rat and are holding off bringing the possibility into play in regards to stabilizing the market. This is pure common sense because taxpayers across the entire board are getting ready to bend over if WE allow this to happen.
The Federal Government should get a piece of the action in the form of small slices of future profits. I'm not talking about taxes I'm talking about a contract for interest in the corporations involved. Something to put back into the seemingly bottomless hole these funds are supposed to come from. I'm talking an INVESTMENT.
Also, I think it's time some of the manufacturing the US used to be so great for came back. I could go on and on. Steel mills? Textile mills? Want to start making a few television sets here again? Sign here, and your money is on the way.
Also, why $700 billion? Is that some magic number? Could the magic number really be $500 billion or $400 billion?
A truly bi-partisan issue here, folks. Let's see how it's handled. Time to put away the hate and get on board the bus.
I don't get it. My roommate spent 2 years of his life doing just that; watching Russia from an Air Force base in Alaska.
What is the humor I'm not really getting?
By the way, the intended definition of the word homophobia has begun to finally sink in thanks to the intense and illogical rash of Palinphobia sweeping the left.
Hmm, palinphobia. I like that word.
The intense fear of someone gaining the vice-presidency with more experience than the opposition's candidate for president.
What is an infantry brigade supposed to do against 200 million armed civilians?
An Army general stated that an invading Army consisting of 3 corps, 9 divisions, would have a life expectancy of about five days even without American military intervention. I think he was talking about that movie, Red Dawn. That's thanks to an armed populace. Anyone recognize that and remember it?
Not many thinkers here, are there?
@Michael R, Portland
It's a short 50-mile trip to Alaska. Do you have a globe?
How long would it take fighters, bombers, paratroopers and warships to travel that 50 miles?
@Hhatchet
I think I hit a little close to home with that palinphobia thing. Forgive me, you palinphobe. ;)
Palinphobes laugh at pretty woman in swimsuit.
Film at 11 o'clock.
Move over homophobia. Palinphobia is REALLY running rampant. You all need to seek psychological help immediately.
Palinphobia can obviously hurt you. Give up your irrational hate. She's only running for VP and have you ever asked yourself what a VP does?
Palinphobia is certainly deadly to common sense.
