The Letters Circus

It amazes me how so many "learned" (??) Americans can be led by the nose with absolutely no personal thought given to the subject by themselves.

I'm not talking about Republicans.

I can't imagine why this woman so terrifies you that you would post nonsensical letters blasting her supposed inexperience (She's more experienced than Obama.), the fact that no one knows her (Almost none of us had ever heard of Obama.), and the real killer in your eyes (Good ol' Ann C. predicted this one.) Someone said she's just like Bush.

Such insights into the bipartisanship, equal rights, and diversity party, no? Of course I realize that posting letters anonymously allows a certain freedom to be stupid and we all accept that and, indeed, come here for the entertainment.

We can all talk about her inexperience even knowing she has more executive experience than Obama. We can all talk about her being a "pit bull" and wanting her way even though we all know Obama was never in a position to have to stand up to anyone to get his own way. We can also blast her being a mom and liking to hunt and snowmobile even though we all know this is completely irrelevant.

Irrelevance drives the Democratic party, it seems.

Anonymous rantings or not, you people disgust me and I wouldn't come here at all if I didn't find it so damned comical.

Venues such as this one have the potential to really make a difference in just about every aspect of society. It's too bad people turn their brains off when they start typing.

My sincere wish is to see less whining about the "other guy" and more "Well, when Obama wins we need to do this..."

No Democrat ever seems to talk about what they want to see the country become. They just blast Republicans with whatever mindless rants come along. It's like a party of children. Don't any of you have your own ideas? Instead of shooting off mindless letters full of rabid hate don't you think you should be discussing your thoughts on how you think the country should be ran? On what we should do concerning all the problems the world faces today? Why do you waste your time with this mindless hate?

Be productive, not destructive and divisive.

Original article: Palin watch ends!

Questions for Gov. Palin

Well, Joan, you've actually gotten 2 or 3 decent questions out of 22 pages, so far. I'm sure that has exceeded both of our expectations.

My questions:

Governor Palin, what are your feelings about the questions concerning your experience for the vice presidency when considering most are coming from people supporting a candidate running for president who has less experience than you? Also, the same question in regards to being an unknown?

Governor Palin, can you give us some insights into how you think the problem with the Russians vs. the West should be handled? We're also deeply concerned about the UN's severe lack of balls concerning Iran and Iraq. How would you see these 2 pressing issues resolved?

Reality?

@Treeple

If you're uncomfortable with reality you've come to the right place.

You can console yourself here with the rest of the people in the same boat as you.

Take a step back and clear your mind.

After you've done that, and you're relaxed, read these letters and tell me you're happy with these ranting, crying, spaced-out, drugged, extremely terrified of Gov. Palin and reality-denying fundamentalists and self-professed Democrats running your country.

If you're happy with that I have two possible words to describe you: Liar or insane.

The left, as portrayed here at Salon, have truly lost it. Anonymity truly breeds extreme stupidity, doesn't it? God, I love this place. I will never, ever understand how reality can so quickly and easily be thrown out the door.

I totally agree with what a few have mentioned here and that is people like you are throwing McCain and Palin into the White House.

I think you're consciously doing so you can keep senselessly whining. You can't fool me.

Original article: Born that gay

Don't do that. It doesn't help.

@Ballsee

The natural world is full of examples of both homosexual and heterosexual behavior. See "Biological Exuberance: Animal Homosexuality and Natural Diversity" by Bruce Bagemihl.

There are no homosexual animals. Please don't promote that book by Bruce who has an agenda so humongous he keeps trying to find people to help him carry it. He can't find anyone who matters.

Quoting and recommending obvious propaganda doesn't help your cause.

As for my take on the subject, homosexuality is simply a behavior. If it were hereditary or somehow induced by genetics it would be classified as a birth defect just like every other genetic/hereditary condition that is threatening to the human population. I agree with the letter that mentioned homosexuals should hope it is never found to be such a condition. I seriously doubt political correctness would win in that situation.
