Why?

Why do we believe the climate shouldn't change?

Why do we believe the sea levels shouldn't change?

More importantly, why do we believe we're the ones making it change NOW?

Seriously. What possible reason could there be for any of the above?

Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant. Carbon dioxide is LIFE. Haven't you ever sat down and given this matter some serious thought? Do you REALLY want to pay more of your money for this JUNK SCIENCE? This HOAX? This...MONEY MAKER?

Jeez.

THINK!

Where is my nuclear plants? What is all of this talk about wind and solar technology that doesn't and can't exist? Think about how many square feet of solar cells it would take to power the world. Think about how many millions of square miles would have to be given over to wind turbines.

If Obama "succeeds" in Copenhagen what will be the real results?

My last question is haven't you realized this whole climate change fad is dying as fads always do?

Are we not slaves ourselves?

Don't you take every word that comes from the mouth of the president as law? Don't you pretend to love everything about it even when, to yourself, you're thinking, "That arrogant asshole!"

Why do you bow to the master's every word? How can you be so _extremely_ one-sided? What are you afraid of?

Never forget the founding fathers _expected_ armed revolt and replacement of senators, congressmen, presidents and etc. This is why it is our RIGHT to do so. A right given to us by the Constitution of the United States.

I have no doubt we're headed toward some sort of downfall. We have preachers preaching "diversity" at the top of their lungs knowing full well that diversity is anti-unity.

Personally, I think you people are the slaves and you're on the wrong side.

No elected official is our master. Indeed, it is the other way around. Soon, many more people will realize this simple and undeniable fact.

Imagine what unconstitutional things would happen if an army of citizens even attempted to exercise their rights by removing the federal government from power.

Practically all of you already count many, many Americans as "enemies" simply because they have different political, religious, or [fill in the blank] beliefs than yours and you STILL think something like a forceful change of government isn't possible?

Are you all insane?

Don't you know it is our RIGHT to hold EVERY elected official's feet to the fire?

So far, our current president has been all talk and hasn't really done anything at all. I think, if you are one of his worshipers, you should be thankful for that. Otherwise, John Brown could very well be resurrected.

Having said all this I'll also say I do not see states succeeding from the United States. I think it will be Americans, calling themselves Americans, installing a new government, made of all the same positions, by whatever means are necessary to do so.

If, that is, it should come to that.

Please, PLEASE, do NOT think I am talking Republicans-vs-Democrats. One of those things you refuse to openly talk about is the fact that you're all aware it runs deeper than just that. It's slaves-vs-masters. Slaves that live on both the right and the left of the political spectrum.

@TheZenNihilist

It seems you made a conscious decision to partake of an activity that was not allowed in your place of employment and was caught and terminated. Furthermore, you knew very well it wasn't allowed and yet you made that decision.

Now you're trying to blame something other than yourself for the problems it caused?

Don't you find that...odd? You have no one or nothing to blame other than yourself. Welcome to reality. Perhaps you have gained some small wisdom but it appears, from what you have written, you have not.

Original article: Al Gore: "I am optimistic"

@What the???

"Want to curb population growth? Works towards things like a global minimum wage and gender equality and access to birth control. Giving people the basics of survival and women their freedom are the two biggest factors that contribute to a naturally curbed population growth."

Sounds to me like you're advocating a massive world war. Otherwise, your "solution" is a total fantasy which will never happen.

"At the same time, developed countries need to end their hogging of the world's resources, and work towards their own sustainability. We need to retain being a developed country, but use the resources of an undeveloped one. It's very possible to do, it just takes the will to do it."

Ah, it's clearer now. A massive total world war where the West would be the victor followed by good, old-fashioned imperialism. Can you think of any other _possible_ way your scenario would become reality?

Somehow, I don't think subjugating half of the world is the answer. Of course, I don't believe in the question, the point of the interview, in the first place. The very term, "Save the planet." is ludicrous and has no basis, whatsoever, in fact.
