[Read the article: Right-wing blogger geniuses expose another journalistic fraud!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]And then you go on to complain about "right-wing bloggers" for doing the same things I see all the time on Daily Kos and similar sites. Like the time a video on YouTube was trumpeted all over the leftwing blogs, having claimed the White House had cropped the "Mission Accomplished" banner out of the video of Bush's speech ... a cropping which never actually happened. Or the many times that mainstream reporters on CNN, NBC, and others have been derided by the left for simply reporting the truth as they saw it. And the many, many lies printed on Media Matters (talk about extensions of noise machines). I won't even bother to mention "Rathergate" itself.
Glenn provides links to the errors he discusses on Right wing blogs, and has done numerous posts about it, showing that the prominent, respected (on the right) bloggers stubbornly hold to these mistruths far too long, if indeed they ever admit they are in error.
You threw in some claims with no links, and merely asserted "lies" on Media Matters (of which I know of none whatsoever) and equated some unknowns on DailyKos with people like Malkin and Ace.
Lesson in blogging: If you want to make claims, you must demonstrate them or they are less than bullshit and your own credibility is squat.
Hell, how about the time you just claimed the other day that McConnell "flat-out" claimed FISA had NEVER been modified, when he not only did not make such a claim, but he directly implied it had been modified (by saying it was "*essentially* the same")? One wonders why you bothered to lie about that since you had a decent case against him without making that up.
Now this is just pathetic. Glenn calls out a deceptive tactic used by McConnell, and you take umbridge with Glenn? Aren't conservatives supposed to appreciate "straight talk" not mealy mouthed falsehoods hidden in legalese? The act has been changed numerous times, and McConnell is using its age to imply it is wrong (a fallacy anyway) and even then he has to be deceptive to make that claim.
I bet the laws against murder are pretty old too, time to throw them out. Who knew laws has expiry dates? How would you feel if Congress starts advocating "changes" to the 2nd Amendment because it is so old and hasn't been updated for new technology, like bolt action weapons and rifled barrels.
Finally, your claim that glenn "lied" is just flat out wrong since he does talk about the difference between "essentially the same" and other Mcconnell statements which are lies, to wit, Glenn:
Many of these statements are highly misleading, as they strongly imply that FISA has not been amended since it was first enacted 30 years ago. But several of the statements -- such as: "the law has not been changed to reflect technological advancements" -- are just flat-out lies.
Glenn accurately discussed McConnell's op-ed, called the lies lies, and the misleads misleading. Try to keep up, and read carefully so you don't look the fool casting stones from your fine glass house.

Dogs not barking
[Read the article: Right-wing noise machine: Plame not covert]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I wonder if the apologists will be quiet today, as they really have nothing to hang their hats on anymore. Not even Toesling's asinine testimony that should have her disbarred or even prosecuted.
They'll be looking for a way to change the subject.
Keep on this: Plame was covert, her outing was a crime, the perpetrator remains unknown because convicted liar Libby Lewis obstructed the investigation.

"Armitage was the leaker"
[Read the article: Right-wing noise machine: Plame not covert]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]My title remains the right wing talking point on this subject. Armitage, who told Novak is the culpable one.
Many have addressed how this is false and in fact Armitage is unfortunately not prosecutable for his actions since he was not cleared to know Plame's identity anyway.
However, if I adopt the stance of a right winger who believe such things, I get the following:
Rove and Libby also told various reporters about Plame. Shouldn't they be prosecuted alongside Armitage? Does the fact that the reporters they told didn't publish that info somehow clear them, where I believe Armitage has done something wrong?
Also, since the President promised to fire anyone involved with leaking the name of a covert CIA operative, shouldn't Rove be fired forthwith? He is a man of his word, right?
yet another internally incoherent right wing canard.

[Read the article: Fred Thompson, "tough guy" and "folksy cultural conservative"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You are so heated about this and work so hard to push the "daddy" and pornographic references that I have to think you have your own daddy complex.
Actually, Glenn isn't working hard at all for these references.
But really "I know you are but what am I" isn't really a great rebuttal to this essay. I guess it is the best conservatives can do in this era of High School Politics they have created. Thompson is dreamy! He's captain of the football team!

Shooter's bigotry
[Read the article: Fred Thompson, "tough guy" and "folksy cultural conservative"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]In addition to Shooter's comment several days ago about Muslims not being "smart enough", now we have overt sexism.
Evidently there is something wrong with the Democratic party in that it allows itself to have tough women in prominent positions.
It is revealing that shooter who tries so hard to attempt rational discourse cannot help himself from showing his true motivations in such comments.
What you think is a dig at us shooter, we proudly embrace. Personally, I would pick Nancy Pelosi for the toughest Democrat, but Hillary is a good choice too. Both have become so tough by enduring and surviving the High School personality politics the Republicans have sunk the discourse to.
Notice though, that in the Democratic party merely being "tough" is not enough. We also value "smart", "good ideas", "honest" and "humane" which are terms I expect a Republican would need to look up in a dictionary.
