1. This is another sign of a growing Bush v. Cheney war (see Scooter's pardon etc). That nasty Bush runt seems determined to slander Cheney in order that his own precious legacy be honoured For Evuh! MEH!

2. Cheney was a great man who did what needed to be done at a time of crisis in Teh USA. It's just sad that the lilly-livered wimp he hand-picked to be Prez before he hand-picked himself as VP dared to wonder why the FBI couldn't round up US citizens more easily than the Army. Maybe it was his Mummy's friends or his GF Condi who sowed the doubt? Wimp!

3. Cheney knew that the USA needed a catalytic event to transform the mindset of the nation even BEFORE 9/11 happened! YES! Genius! He knew that tanks rolling through the streets of small-town USA would help reinforce the message of 9/11, not to mention the anthrax attacks. Theatre is a valuable political tool, and prime-time TV is the best stage. The FBI just can't match that "tanks in YOUR street" imagery.

4. Cheney has REALLY BIG BALLS while Bush has small, shrivelled ones. Sure, that's not important to this debate, but just keep it in mind.

5. The US Constitution is just a piece of paper (as is the Bible BTW). John Yoo did great work shredding the Constitution in the face of imminent danger from Teh Evil, but did he do that because he has BALLS OF STEEL or because he was panicking? Oh and BTW is it a coincidence that he and Gonzales both have foreign-sounding names? Just askin'....!

6. Wasn't there some crazy Internet conspiracy theory about how THE BIG DICK was building US Army Barracks around the country prior to the 2008 elections, and maybe even considering annulling the elections if needed? Or were they really prisoner detention centers? Just wondering, surely there's more great heroism waiting to be uncovered there.

It seems the new AG investigation is aimed at and perhaps limited to the latest "revelations". Certainly there's a whole lot of political and media linkage going on here.

OMFG they did what??? Threatened to hurt children? Ran power drills near hooded prisoners (without touching them of course) in violation of the prescribed legal guidelines? Etc etc. Well, that's not so bad is it? We'll just nab the bad apples responsible....

No, wait a minute. THEY KILLED PEOPLE!!! They killed detainees, they tortured them to death!!!

It was wholesale! It was systematic! It was condoned at the very highest level! They did DEMOS IN THE WHITE HOUSE!!!

You know what I think? I think this is just Obama's way of pressuring the GOP into supporting his Health Care reforms. And they better not call his bluff, coz he really IS bluffing.
