Oh and BTW did anyone see Bill O'Reilly getting in a huff about Sarah Palin's email being hacked? Now his own website has also been hacked, and he's in an even bigger huff!
"I'm not going to mention the Web site that posted this, but it's one of those despicable, slimy, scummy Web sites," O'Reilly said.In a subsequent O'Reilly show, he argued with a lawyer about the legality of Wikileaks posting the Palin e-mails, and said that the site was "trafficking in stolen merchandise." Although the lawyer pointed out that as a news organization Wikileaks is covered by the First Amendment, O'Reilly was not swayed by her arguments.
"We have no privacy left, there are no libel and slander laws anymore -- you can do whatever you want," O'Reilly said. "The Web site knows the law and says, "you know, I'm going to do it anyway because I'm daring you to come get me."
WTF? This is Bill O'Reilly, the man who has led the GOP sleaze campaign to push slander of political opponents as far as it can go!
Link at sig, as ever!
Finally I can strongly support Palin's bid for the White House!

Josh Marshall agrees with other bloggers:
The Republican/McCain plan is to get the Democrats to bail out the GOP's Wall Street friends and then run against them for doing it.
It sounds crazy, doesn't it? And yet we have seen it work time and again.
Basically, the McCain 08 campaign is now riding on Ed Morrissey's proven capacity for double-think.
What if the world builds a new financial order that guarantees stability for all nations and is not largely dependent on the US Dollar?
What if we simultaneously re-make the UN Security Council so that it reflects modern realities, rather than being bogged down in the post-WWII status quo?
What if we MANDATE destruction of all nuclear and chemical weapons, around the globe, and task the IAEA with ensuring that no more are developed?
What if we MANDATE GLOBAL ACTION TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT?
What if we invigorate the International Criminal Court to ensure that leaders like Saddam Hussein or Robert Mugabe can never cling to power, while leaders like George W. Bush, Tony Blair and John Howard are AT THE VERY LEAST forced to defend their actions before a fully empowered international judge?
What if we, the people of this fragile blue planet, decide to take back control from our corrupt and useless leaders?
It's time for Global People Power!
F*ck McCain and f*ck Obama and f*ck the Nov 2nd election too! This global financial crisis is an historic opportunity to forge real, lasting change.
Naomi Klein talks about how the elites use shock tactics like this latest crisis to force their agenda through the gates of Congress and public opinion. We saw it with the Patriot Act, for example, and we saw it with Tony Blair's "45 minute" warning ahead of the Iraq invasion.
But we ordinary people can win this game of chicken if we hold our ground and stare the bastards down.
Sting once sang "I hope the Russians love their children too." Turns out they do. And so do the Chinese, the Iraqis, Iranians and North Koreans! It's not ordinary people who are the problem. It's governments and state-controlled media who keep people subjected and force us to live in confused states of panic.
There is a better option, and people around the globe have known it for a very long time without ever having a true opportunity to realise it.
Maybe this is the time.
Maybe this is the beginning of something we human beings will cherish forever, rather than just the end of something obscene.
Maybe this is a chance for US citizens to show that the Dream that once was America is still alive in their hearts, and that it applies to people of all nations, without prejudice, all around the world?
Freedom.
Democracy.
Beautiful words, beautiful ideals.
A beautiful planet full of beautiful people, beautiful children with beautiful futures...
YOU have just been chosen to create this reality.
What are you waiting for? The world is with you.
GG, assuming your request for youtube signals a Ron Paul post to come, the man himself has a new "I wuz right" article at antiwar.com today:
http://www.antiwar.com/paul/?articleid=13492
This is beautiful prose:
So sacred have growth and free trade become in our modern culture that only rarely do we find the courage to ask why they should be given precedence over the needs of people and nature. Indeed, why should we consider accelerating growth and trade to be of any importance at all except to the extent that they serve people and nature?
Stop for a moment and think how many millions of people just like you are living in abject poverty today. Is it fair?
Most everyone is aware that we live in an unequal world. Few realize, however, just how extreme the inequality has become or how fast the gap between the poor and the super rich is growing. Forbes tells us the world now has 358 billionaires. Their combined net worth exceeds the combined net worth of the world's poorest 2½ billion people.
That's 358 people versus 2,500,000,000 people.
It doesn't have to be this way! Indeed, we simply cannot continue to live this way!
Evidence is mounting that economic growth and free trade are not leading us toward economic justice and environmental sustainability. To the contrary, they are taking us in the direction of increasing economic injustice and environmental unsustainability.
Our greed will kill us, or our love will save us.
You choose.
The time is now.
