Matthews continues to show bias in large and small ways
[Read the article: Matthews: Obama is a "third world" candidate]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I thought these election night and political "anchors" were supposed to at least appear to be neutral as to the candidates. I don't have as much of an issue with them being on the right or left of the issues as when they show clear bias to individual candidates. I used to enjoy Chris Matthews, although I frequently did not agree with his point of view. As of late, he just has to add snarky little comments about both Obama and Clinton, while maintaining an air of perceived (his)superiority. I hate to see MSNBC headed down this road.

Nothing new with this appointment, same old, same old
[Read the article: 9/11 Commission: Our investigation was "obstructed"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Long story short, this "special prosecutor" answers to the AG, who answers to George and Dick. Same old Bush administration tilted playing field and holding their thumb on the scales of justice to skew the actual "balance", as opposed to the perception intended.

Matthews & Olberman
[Read the article: Matthews: Obama is a "third world" candidate]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I think MSNBC pairs Matthews with Olberman ostensibly to boost Olberman’s credibility as a political reporter. Problem with this strategy is that Olberman is so head & shoulders above Matthews in this role that Matthews’ bias becomes even more apparent. Like or hate Olberman he doesn't cloak his opinions in doublespeak.

General Betrayus kerfuffle will not be a positive for Obama
[Read the article: MoveOn endorses Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I will start by stating that I was fine with the General Betrayus ad. It served the purpose and was accurate as far as I am concerned, although it should have had a corollary being President Betrayus. This being said I am afraid this will give the GOP something to beat Obama about the head and shoulders with in the general election should he be the nominee.
Although the talking heads are crowing that the voters are saying they want change while they vote for the candidates that are the biggest Washington “insiders” after reading the Florida tea leaves. I see it as the voters breaking for the more centrist candidates after 7 years of being Bushwacked.
A lot of people developed strong negative feelings over the ad, not just GOP, but also Dems. It did not play well with the general public. This will not be helpful to Obama’s message of wanting to bring the whole nation together and reaching across party lines. I also think it may not help the public perception of whether Obama is ready to be commander in chief or has realistic foreign policy platform.

Joan is a Hillary/Barack/John/Mitt/Mike/Ron shill - good grief people
[Read the article: Making sense of Super Tuesday]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]•It was just last week that I was swearing off both my beloved Salon and MSNBC because of the obvious bias of the reporting, particularly at MSNBC.
As I read one of Ms. Walsh's articles very recently, the feedback letters were all complaining that she was an Obama zombie, just waiting for the 5 of Feb, when all of the multitude of Obama voters were going to descend on the polls like Night of the Living Dead and Hillary would be finally banished.
Face it folks, these professional polls leave a lot to be desired and one has to wonder if maybe the pollsters & pundits aren't injecting their own bias (unconsciously or not so unconsciously). Certainly many of the pundits are doing some projecting of their own in interpreting the polls.
All of the Hillary haters crow that she was the FRONT RUNNER for over a year and through the moral and intellectual superiority of Obama backers it is now a dead heat. But you know what? Rudy was also the front runner until, oh my gawd, people were actually voting.
I couldn’t believe that serious cable “analysts” were saying that any candidate should stay in the race or drop out of the race after 2 or 3 states had voted. Does anybody see the absurdity in this. Maybe more like wishful thinking from some of these “respected” commentators.
Give it a break people and especially the media, let the people vote. I for one am tired of the talking heads/pundits trying to turn Obama into a saint and Clinton into the wicked witch, all the while taking subtle and not so subtle pot shots. We deserve better.

Thank you Atlanta214
[Read the article: Making sense of Super Tuesday]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I thought it was just me being overly "sensitive" and over analyzing what I thought I saw on MSNBC. I really couldn't believe that I found myself turning to FOX news- holy crap- to get a real picture of how the Democratic races were going. I haven't watched anything on Fox for years.
MSNBC had been making progress in knocking Fox off its ratings pedestal. And I get it, as Keith Olberman points out, his show is pointed to take the lion's share of the "younger" demographic and I guess that is where pumping or maybe pimping Obama comes in. Obama can stand on his own without MSNBC putting their thumb on the scale.
Thought I would never say it but Hardball & Countdown just got deleted from my TiVo season passes.

Carol H is right
[Read the article: Making sense of Super Tuesday]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I can't believe that watching MSNBC, which in the past has definately been my and my friends "go to" network, is pushing people to watch Fox news. This includes me. It probably won't help the situation but seems as if it would be a good idea to write or e-mail the programming mgr at MSNBC and make sure they know they are losing audience because they have went too far out into the weeds.
I just watched Brokaw on The John Stewart show and he said he basically has to act as the hall monitor to keep things from going totally of track on election night.
