NOT FAIR

I don't think that is a fair question. Clinton rode the dot.com wave. Anyone who was president at that time would have done great. Thouasnds of people sitting at computers entering data into the net created jobs and plenty of overtime. I was one of them and made a fortune. But when the boom died (the last year of Clinton's term), we lost thousands in our 401K plan. I know I did and plenty of my friends. My best friend lost over $100,000. But you didn't mention that at all.

SUSPENSION OF CAMPAIGNS

What a great idea! It seems a little obscene for the candidates to spending millions on their campaigns when so many people are hurting. It is better to see them action, actually accomplishing something and finding solutions. We have heard enough from them and most people have already decided. If a voter is unsure of something, they will have to look up the candidate's record. There plenty out there to review.

OVER HIS HEAD

I wan initially an Obama supporter but he is losing me. He just seems like he doesn't understand what's going on. Watching him sitting with his hands crossed and saying nothing in the Washington meetings bothered me. And when he just kept saying that McCain was "right" I really started to worry. People say phrases like that so they won't have to answer.

PEOPLE ARE STUPID

People are really stupid. They know the facts and ignore them. They have bought into the Democrats' tale of being for the little people. And the mealy Republicans let them get away with it. That's why I am an Independent. This crisis is solely the Democrats' fault. To say that John McCain doesn't understand it is ridiculous. He warned this would occur as far back as 2003. Hearings were held -- the Republicans warned about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac but the Democrats said everything was sound. Of course, Democrats like Chris Dodd, Barney Frank and yes Obama were making personal fortunes. All this is fact and still stupid people ignore, deny and defend the Democrats who are thieves. And so stupid people cheer on the Democrats, like a favorite football team, and let them get away with it. How stupid can you get?

Oh Really!

Where have the educated elite in Washington taken us? They are liars and thieves. Maybe it's time for a simple, home-spun, honest type. I am sick to death of partisan haters. Heaven forbid they would give anyone a fair chance. Everyone has something to say and nobody's saying anything.

I FIND HER OFFENSIVE

I don't believe a word of MYDOGISFRANK. No one who was half intelligent would. And I am sick of people finding others offensive. A lot of people find Tristram Korten offensive but they don't go around stating it. Those people are called civilized.

Victoria

Are the Democrats going to get away with this! They always ask for investigations and want panels investigating the investigations. What about investigating them! They were warned about Fannie and Freddie and did nothing. Chris Dodd, Barney Frank (and even Barack Obama) and others made money and got low-interest loans. Are they allowed to go without answering to the public?

TRUTH NEVER MATTERS

This has proven to be untrue many times yet Talbot repeats the lie. What on earth would he do with his life if he couldn't spew venom all day long. Living with all that hate -- I wonder if he grows uglier every day.

Maggie

It is ridiculous to call the debate Town Hall. A Town Hall meeting takes people from the audience. They are never pre-selected. It is informal and ad lib. Who gave Tom Brokaw the authority to select all the questions? No wonder it was such a bore. And Brokaw's voice is that harsh, grating old-fashioned voice that was once learned in announcers' schools. It was annoying. The whole thing was awful.

STUPID GATE

Did anyone really think it would turn out any other way? The Democrats are immoral. They will go after Palin for something minor. But they won't go after Chris Dodd, Barney Frank and Obama for all the money they received from Fannie Mae. They won't go after Chris Dodd and Barney Frank for their involvement in the Fannie Mae debacle. They won't go after Charlie Rangel for income tax invasion when he is on the Committee that oversees income tax. They will do anything to win an election. Look at Ohio right now trying to change the law to get more votes. It used to be an honor to be a Democrat. With people like Nancy Pelosi representing Democrats, now it's an embarrassment. Democrats will do anything to win an election. To be a Democrat today, you have to lie, mouth the daily talking points written by someone else, cheat, shout over you opponent, denigrate anyone who dares to agree with you and give up your integrity for the sake of the party. They should ban the Democratic party and all parties. Belonging to a party is like a festering sore that never heals. You are one of the pack. And it's an ugly pack.

TO SHENANIGANS

Shenanigans -- I didn't even mention Acorn -- another example of interpreting only what you want to believe. Thank you for mentioning it. Another shady group funded by Democrats. For all your musings about Palin, where is your outrage over Fannie Mae? Over Chris Dodd, over Chuck Schumer? Over Barney Frank? I don't like the Republicans either but everyone goes after them so they are taken care of. No one goes after Dems and they think they are gods. That partisan kind of thinking is killing this country.

SHENANIGANS

Questionable loan? Frank and Dodd's Committee was in charge of oversight. They testified that Fannie Mae was sound. All the while taking those questionable loans. Ordinary people lost millions because they did not warn anyone. When they had the hearings in 2005, Frank said "going forward Fannie Mae would be sound." Rather than fix it then, the Democrats (to a man) voted no. They brought down the system. They should go to jail.
