  Waters is probably a bigger pick-up than Kennedy in the context of California, but in terms of publicity value, this isn't going to push the Kennedy endorsement to the back pages today...

  Maxine Waters is fabulous. Outside of California, though, who knows her?

  Memo to Joe:

  Those people you're so grateful to for crossing the party lines aren't particularly happy with you, you bitter little politician. Once you got re-elected, and stopped bamboozling the public about how badly you wanted to see the troops come home, people (even those across party lines) started to really not like you Joe. So, yes, you go do whatever you feel you need to do, and here's the attention it will get nationally: a big yawn.
