Good for Obmama
[Read the article: Obama: Clinton "deserves to be able to run"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Frankly If Hillary does not win OH by double digits I think she should get out graciously. However the longer Hillary stays in the race the better it is for Obama because the Democrats are getting press out of it, and Obama keeps raising more money.
If you watch Hillary's supporters on TV , they are very much LESS gracious than Obama''s. Even though they keep claiming she can win what they really saying is super delegates MUST vote for her. Even if she wins OH, There is no way Hillary is going to win the popular vote, and pledged delegates unless she wins all the remaining states by 65%. I see no reason for super delegates to support her over Obama. Obama represents the future of the Democratic party.
The argument that she has won big states is bogus. Hillary has NOT won in most populated areas in the big states and has not beat Obama by double digits in most big states. In fact the delegate count just came out in Obama's favor in TX, and every week he gets more super delegates.
The writing is on the wall. It seems as if the Hillary campaign and her supporters are blinded by their "she deserves it" atttude.

MI FL
[Read the article: Obama: Clinton "deserves to be able to run"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Why should MI and FL count? They broke the rules and so did Hillary. She was the only candidate to NOT take her name off the ballot in MI, and she still did not win by 65%. Even if they do count the votes Hillary she still won't win the pledged delegates.

Viginity Advocates
[Read the article: Virginity: The new feminism?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I read the article and found it amusing and at the same time perverse. As a recovered Catholic who went through the "virginity" guilt trip in the 60s, I found to be just much of the same.
I have no problem with this young woman (Janie Fredell) being in control and finding strength in her virginity, as women should be the "deciders". However if she is doing it for herself then why does she have to form a gorup on campus to promote virginity? That sort of takes out the feminists aspect.
Janie's whole idea of promoting the program as secular is just another ploy. These college programs are just extensions of the high school programs: "True Love Wits, "Purity Balls", The Ring Thing". They distribute the same misguided medical misinformation as the "abstinence only" sex ed programs.
The most degrading part of their programs are the "Your worth it" valentines day promotions, which uses the tired old
"shame on you, your worthless slut for having sex".
I loved Leo Keliher the male hot for Janie. That's what it is really all about. Look at Janie's photo. It is very much like the promotional photos used in the True Love Waits':
"I'm Hot, but you can't have me". After all isn't that rather a tease, and do they "get of" on it.

April fools
[Read the article: Bowling for Pennsylvania]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It would be truly an April fools joke to see Hillary keep out of the gutter. Did she mean "bull-off"? If so she can win that game. Let's not discount all those April fools who cast votes for Hillary in PA.

Right about republicans
[Read the article: Obama: Clinton "deserves to be able to run"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I'm an Obama supporer, but I too suspect that many of the Hillary haters here are not Obama supporters but republicans. Republicans in their wildest dreams want to see Democrats divided. However the Hillary supporters must realize, this is why Hillary will not win in Nov. He negatives among Independents, Republicans, and progressive Democrats is much higher than Obamas'. The people ranting about Rev Wright, I doubt are Hillary supporters either. The only people who care about Rev Wright are racists who would not vote for Obama anyway. Racist probably would not vote for Hillary either as racists and sexist tend to run in the same crowds. You can not convince me that the Wright attack was not racially motivated. Much of what FOX and other stations are reporting about Wright are half truths. Besides the news networks have spent so much time on it, it will not sell by the General election. After all that is what cable news is all about...sensation and sales.
The other myth by Hillary supporters are those male Democrats who are not supporting her are sexists. Many males I know are not supporting Hillary, have feminist wives and do not like Hillary, because we will get Bill, and Hilllary also represents the same centrists views (republican lite).
As a long time Democrat I like Obama as he truly represents the a progressive agenda, and I think he does differ for Hillary on his approach to foreign policy. Even though I do not support Hillary, I will hold my nose and vote for her if by some slim chance she gets the nomination, as she is better than McCain. I am basing this mostly on Supreme Court Nominees. In all other issues issues however, I think Hillary will be much like McCain, as she has been a hawk and an economic centrist in all her votes. However if she keeps at it after June, her supporters sue for the MI,FL votes or this goes to the convention, I will have to rethink it all.

Over by then
[Read the article: Will the Democratic race end July 1?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Do the math. If you go to CNN election site, click on the delegate count. You can move the lever back and forth to see how the delegate count will come out. If you base it on the polls and most likely wins and still split the last super delegates 50-50 Obama will have the number of delegates need for the nomination by the end of June. Even if they counted MI and Fl the way Hillary wants, she still would not win. Of course Obama really has more delegtes than they are giving him on the CNN scale. They don't have the offcial count and Obama is getting more as those official counts come in. Obama won more delegates in TX for instance.
Hillary does not want the Super delegates to decide by July 1 because she would rather have a fight at the convention.
