RNC in trouble

As long as the RNC continues to cater to their small fanatical base, they will continue lose. Do republicans really think these THUGS at town hall meetings are going to garner them votes? These are the same people who showed up at Palin rallies and pushed many in their party to Obama.

Unless republicans begin to condemn the MOB behavior at town hall meetings and the rhetoric of talk radio, and continue to reinforce the health care lies promoted by GLENN BECK they are doomed.

Remember when republicans called estate tax the 'death' tax. Its the same tactics. Instill fear, fear of drugs, fear of terrorists, fear of illegal aliens, fear of Obama, now fear of health care reform.... fear... fear... fear. They need to bring something positive to the table.

Original article: What Orly Taitz believes

TAITZ got her law degree online which is not approved by the ABA. She did pass the CA bar which allows online degrees, and is licensed ONLY in CA. Therefore she cannot legally practice law outside of CA. Her actions should be brought to the attention of the CA bar association for disciplinary action.

Yes and that is what the health care provisions is all about. Its simply states Medicare will pay for consultation for end of life conversations with doctors. Section 1233 on page 424 of the bill explains what this conversation might include – such as the doctor educating a patient about an advance directive or living will; sharing what resources are currently available to learn about end-of-life care; and explaining options available for end-of-life care, including hospice. Advance directives are written by patients and help their doctors and family members understand the treatment that they wish to receive.

After the Shiavo case I got my living will ( end of life derecive) written as I don't want people like those THUGS protesting at these health forums making my end of life decisions. I don't want a doctor forced to keep me on a machine because I do have not an end of life directive.

The pro-lifers demonstrating at these health forums are the kinds of people who interfered in the Shiavo case.

Even at a young age you should have a directive. If you are in an accident and brain dead do you want to be put on a machine for life, or have pro-life THUGs making your decisions. Without a directive you could be, and they could.

Any doctor who give a older person a hip replacement in the last days of their lives is irresponsible. Most doctors will not perform hip surgery after a certain age. For one thing you must be free of all infections before you have hip surgery. You even have to continue to take antibiotics every time you got the dentist after having a hip surgery.

We spend to much money on certain health procedures for older dying people and for new born infants who are going to die anyway.

Death is a part of living, people need to accept that.

..libertaintfree full of bull

Anyone can start a business today and be successful, it's up to you. You can't do that so easily anywhere in Europe, which is why the majority of Eurpean enteprenuers come here to do it. ..libertaintfree

This is a bold face lie. I happen to know individuals who have started thew own business in Germany, France, and Canada. All three of these people are successful and love their national health plans. They told me they would not have been able to do start their businesses in the U.S. because of our health care situation here. They don't get why the U.S, which is suppose to be such a great and wealthy country, does not provide a natinal health care plan for their citizens.

Having a national health insurance is good business. Cost of premiums would be reduced if we were all in one plan. Besides Europe, Canada, and Japan are all market economies and all deliver better health outcomes than in the U.S.

Medicare myths

MYTH: Seniors’ premiums for Medicare private plans will skyrocket.

FACT: HR 3200 brings equity between payments to Medicare Advantage plans and traditional Medicare. The federal government has been subsidizing private health insurance companies with taxpayer dollars. Private plans that are efficient and offer quality care will still be able to offer seniors affordable care with additional benefits. Plans that are pocketing the over payments to increase executive pay and Wall Street profits probably won’t. HR 3200 also protects seniors who choose a Medicare Advantage plans by prohibiting these plans from charging cost sharing that is any greater than the cost sharing under traditional Medicare.

When I investigated health plans for my husband when he went on Medicare I discovered that the Medicare Advantage was a big rip off. It was cheaper and better coverage to take regular Medicare A & B and get a supplemental J plan through private insurer.

death panels are same tactics as death taxes (estate taxes)

MYTH: HR 3200 promotes euthanasia.

FACT: If a doctor and patient choose to have a conversation about end-of-life care and advance care planning, HR 3200 simply provides Medicare payment for the doctors’ time. Doctors and patients can have this conversation as often as they wish, or never; Medicare will reimburse for the doctor’s time once every five years, or more often if the patient becomes significantly sicker and wishes to have a conversation. HR 3200 does not require this conversation to ever take place.
