Original article: Clinton "firing" fallout?

Hardly racist

This is justt a camapaign in touble it has nothing to do with race.

This move could hardly be racist. After all Maggie Williams is an African American woman. Mark Penn, her spin man is who she should get rid of. Most of the time when someone leaves a campaign it is because of a shake up. However, this campaign lasted longer than anticipated by Clinton staff and they are running out of money. Maybe Solis just could not stay with out pay. Maggie Williams is staying on with out pay.

He Knows

I see no reason at this stage to tell him. It will not help him cope, as he probably has no coping skills now that he has advanced Alzheimer. If he is angry, it will make it worse. The best thing you can do for both your father and mother is help your mother cope. Make sure your mother seeks the help she needs when he gets to much for her to handle. If your father is an angry Alzheimer case he could potentially hurt your mother.

In advanced stages they loose all capability to know when and how to even go to the bathroom.

Instead of putting your energy into whether your dad should be told. Put your energy into learning about the disease, help your mother find help. There is a point when Alzheimer patients cannot be left alone for a minute. Don't let you mother become a prisoner out of guilt.

Original article: David Shuster, scapegoat?

He deserved supension

You would think in this day and age, that Newrooms would know what is sexist, and offensive. Newsrooms have gotten worse because they have become entertainment centers, not news centers. Accept for PBS, that these news rooms cannot do any good reporting on important issues. It is just easy junk. Take for instance CNNs abusive fascination with Brittney Spears, who has sever mental health problems. Leave the poor girl alone.

However I think the Clintons should have dropped the Chelsea issue after the apology. Now this story has legs. I feel sorry for Chelsea. Sge is a bright young women, but she is being used by her parents. If she was working behind the scenes it might be a different story, but putting her out there for speeches is ridiculous. I saw her in a clip last night defending her parents at a rally. Chelsea seemed depressed and was not a very effective speaker.

Let's nto forget

Oh and let's not forget Hillary keeps saying she is the candidate who is tough enough to take on the Republicans. Remember when the Republicans used to abuse Chelsea in the 90s. Don't put your kids out there if you don't want them to get attacked.

Amnesty

You notice even though Hillary did not vote that, Hillary supporters voted for this.

For those not too concerned. This takes us back to the time when FBI created files on Veitnam war protesters in the 60s. After the Freedom Of Information Act was passed many people active in the movement checked their FBI records. Those of us who might have have shown up to 1 or 2 protests did not bother. I met a woman several decades later, who had just been declined government job. She was no radical and had idea why she was declined, so decidced to check her back ground thorough the Freedom of Information Act. The FBI had a file on her, with a photo of her at a protest rally, and and she was listed as a an "agent provocateur". The real story: She had a first time date with a guy. She got all dressed up, mini skirt etc. She thought the guys was taking her to a movie and dinner, instead he took her to a Veitnam war protest. It was the only protest she ever attended, and was only there because of her date, yet she ended up in an FBI file for over 20 years and had no idea.

So don't think it cannot happen to you.

Lobbying super dleegates

I wrote a letter to my Senator, Barbara Boxer sking for her support for Obaam. I got an e-mail back from Senator Boxer, saying she could not comment on the issue as as it was against the Senate ethics rules.

Pretty nasty comments

I don't' think the nasty comments about Hillary are coming from Obama supporters.

Obama has an advantage with his well thought out and organized campaign strategy combined with the wave of energy of his recent wins. Hillary is in the process of reorganizing. It will make it much more difficult for her to have a focused strategy going forward.

Hillary has never won by more than 10 pts.in any state. If she does win in Oh & TX by the same amount she will stay even with Obama at best. I doubt she can win these states by any more than 10pt if that. However if Obama wins Oh & TX and by the same margins he won yesterday then the super delegates may start leaning towards him. Clinton should then graciously bow out, so the Democrats can unit behind Obama but I don't think she will.

He already had his orgnizations in Oh & TX. He has the momentum of picking up hundreds of new volunteers as his campaign moves from state to state, and these volunteers stay on board, making thousands of phone calls into the next state.

People don't like to get on a sinking ship, so Hillary's volunteer base will not grow at the same rate.

Yes it is possible Obama can sweep, but never underestimate the tenacity of the Clintons.
