Frankly is Obama standing up very well to the Clinton down & dirty spin machine. His radio ads are very good. If he can stand up Hillary he can stand up to the republicans.
If Obama gets the nomination I don't think there will be as much nasty campaign spin in the general election. The republicans have more respect for Senator Obama than Senator Clinton. Besides Hillary loves a fight, and the republicans love to fight the Clintons.
Obama may be running against the Clinton spin machine, and both Bill and Hillary in the Primary election, but if Hillary wins the nomination the Republicans are preparing to run against her spin and both Clintons too.
Are we prepared for the return of the Clinton years?
-- dbb211 says I'm confused
I thought that you were trying to figure out whether or not Clinton's ad was dishonest?
Answer: YES Clinton Ads re dishonest. She does NOT have 35 years experience ...end of discussion.
I love the RUNT Idea.
One of Obama's first appearances at the beginning of his camapaign was in a White Evangelical church in LA. And proclaimed his support for legal abortion and gay rights in his speech to the church members. When he finished He got a standing ovation from the church members.
He bridges gaps to find common ground on issues of agreement.
If the Democrats give Hillary the nomination they are just being stupid again. Obama is our last best hope to revive the the D party and reinvigorate or progressive ideas. The economic and policy divide in the U.S was not created in a vacuum by Reagan or the Republican congress of the late 90s. Bill Clinton aided and abetted their policies, and Hillary will do the same.
If Hillary does win the primary, she better put Bill aside, as the Republican are ready to camping against both Clintons. The Republicans see this as a return of Bill and they are right.
I also don't get why women will vote for Hillary because she is a woman. She has done little to take a lead in advancing women's equality. Now she is spinning misinformation about Obama's 100% pro-choice record.
If McCain is the Republican candidate and the Democrats candidate, once again the Democrats will blow a chance.
As a former pro-choice activist I find The Clinton Campaign misinformation spin on Obama's pro choice record disturbing. Many women in the pro-choice movement are speaking out. I only remember the Clinton's giving lip service to the issue in the 90s. Obama has actually worked on pro-choice legislation, and the only U.S. Senator to step up and help raise money to fight the SD abortion ban. All teh D candiates are 100 % por-chocie, but for a Democrat to spin false truths about Obam's record is not good. Check out this video.
Obama is not the only one running against both Bill and Hillary. Hillary better get Bill out of the spot light if she wins the nomination, as the Republicans are geared up to run against both Hillary and Bill.
So the link to my video was deleted. Go to You tube and see pro-choice leaders speak out against the Clinton spin on Obama's pro-choice record.
You may be tired of Boomers, but the younger genertions benefits from the work we did on civil rights, women's reproductive rights, equality in the work place, and gays rights in teh 60s and 70s. The 70s are not over, and choice is hanging in the balance. The next president will be able to appoint a SC Judge when the current older judges die or resign. We are only ONE vote away from loosing Roe v Wade.
My feeling is for those who do not appreciate that fact, maybe, just maybe you need to loose your rights and have to fight the battle for them once again.
Yes we need to move forward, but we should always look to the past to see our gains, how we got there, and the mistakes made along the way. The rights we have now did not just happen. It happened because a generation was inspired by leaders to make change.
Hillary makes big promises in her campaign, but as you can see she does not keep them.
The Democrats were stupid to do this, but the candidates agreed to to follow the decisions. In typical Clinton tactics, Hillary left her name on the ballots, while the other candidates chose to be ethical and took their names off the ballot.
Hillary should not get on delegates. She should have to fight for them at the convention.
Many Edwards suppoters in Ca already falling into the Obama camp,
but the rest of you should follow suit. Edwards needs to get out after SC so Obama can get the nomination. Otherwise we will be stuck with Hillary.
