[Read more letters about this article: Here]Obama is inspiring, but he has substance. Good leaders inspire others to make changes and that is what Obama can do. I have been a political acvtist in the past and it was inspiration from leaders who fired me up to get active and help drive change. You won't get change by sitting on your butts, and waiting for someone else to do it.
You won't get specifics in debates as they are driven by the media to for entertainment and impact. If you listen to Obama's speeches, forums and look at the outline of his issues you will see his proposals have substance. Obams'a health care proposal has a much better chance of happening as Hillary's as he is not trying to invent the Wheel. Obama has a 100% pro-choice record and worked with IL PP on legislation. IN the 90s Bill hand Hillary had to be dragged kicking and screaming to speak out on choice. Wasn't it Bill Clinton who crafted the "No Tell" policy in the military? Obama supports civil unions for gay couples.
He was a civil rights lawyer working on civil rights cases in Chicago.
Obama has never esaid change will be easy. He is not naive. Voters are sick of the divisions. Yes much was caused by the republican who came in 1995, but the Dems have also contributed. Wathcing Hillary this past week convinced me she will only keep those divisions going, as she loves it. Our best Hope for is Obama.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]It's obvious the media is controlled by the Old boys from the white club. Why else would they be playing the race and gender card constantly. To assume whites won't vote for Obama or that all black will is ridiculous. The same goes for women and Hillary. She is not getting all the women's vote.
The black enough is over the top. As if every black is the same shade or every white is the same shade.
Is race is an issue? Obama has done better among white educated voters than Hillary. Maybe ignorance is playing a card. Think! If you really like Obama, but let this fear of racism from other voters play a part in your decisions then also worry then about Hillary winning the General election. As racists and sexists tend to run the same "old boy" circles.

First: I am not supporting Senator Clinton, but I object to your use of "Mrs." Clinton its reeks of sexism. We should be addressing her Senator Hillary Clinton.
Second: Senator Hillary Clinton not only is reluctant to speak forthrightly about Social Security she is reluctant to speak forthrightly on all on all issues, and her experience. Senator Clinton’s claim to “35 years experience” includes the eight years of Bill Clinton’s presidency, implying the responsibility of public office. Senator Clinton asks the voters to convert her role as first lady in Bill Clinton’s presidential years to on policy issues such as national security, foreign affairs, and the economy. Yet Hillary has only had 7 years in public elected office compared to Obama's 11 years of elected public office.
Hillary plays lip service to her pro-choice record, but has never actually worked directly on pro-choice legislation. Obama has. Now she is manipulating the facts on that issue too. If she was so great on the pro-choice issue I wold expect former pro-choice leaders from the 90s to endorse her. They have not.
As a long time Democrat, this is the first time in years I have been excited about a candidate..that would be Obama. He not only has inspired a lot of people to get out and be active, he conducts his campaing with the kind of integrity we need in the presidency, and his positions on issues are very sound and believable.
I'm a feminist and I just cannot imagine why women are so excited about her. What has she ever done to advance women's issues? Then there is the issue of Bill. Do we really want him back. The 90s are over folks.If she wins the nomination I am not looking forward to more spin, and the down and dirty politics as usual. We have a chance to get beyond that with Obama.

35 years:
Lets see that would make her a college student, when she was active politically with the Young Republicans. I guess that experience accounts for her "republcian lite" votes.
Then she went on to law school met Bill. So what public advocacy did she do then?
In Arkansas she was a corporation attorney, and first lady to Bill Clinton. What was her elected experience in Arkansas? Am I missing something.
Then Hillary was First Lady for 8 years where she acquired public policy experience through osmosis. Oh yes she was on the board of WalMart, a company that discriminates against women, made successful by NAFTA,.
Then she moved to New York to become Senator. So she has been a Senator working on public policies for 7 years. Now that's real experience. So what is her voting record on issues. We do know she can work with the republicans because she votes with them more often than not.
