Obama clearly

Obama clearly as the best chance of beating the republicans. I know so may Democrats who will not vote for Hillary. She DOES NOT have as much experience as Obama. Even day I find out another friend is gong to vote for Obama. Some people are on the fence still. Last election I voted for Kerry because I thought he was the most electable...big mistake. This time I am voting for the candidate I think can do the best job.. Obama 08.

YOu asked Where were Mike Gravel and Dennis Kucinich?

Where were Mike Gravel and Dennis Kucinich? the Des Moines Register never ask candidates to participate if they have campaign offices in IA. They do not have offices in IA and so they were not invited. Besides they are both too nutty anyway.

Evolution porven theory

How can a person of faith reconcile the apparently random, meaningless process of evolution with belief in God? Huh?

Evolution is hardly meaningless and random. It is a very ordered process and proven by the science of genetics.

This theologian's position is not new or unusual for the Catholic church. We discussed evolution in my theology class in addition to being taught the science e of evolution in biochemistry class a Catholic high school in the 60s. It is only the new Evangelical who doubt evolution, as they take the myths of the bible literally.

Original article: The atheist delusion

Beware of the term...worldview

Worldview is a new jargon of the evangelical right to justify their attempts to hoist there religious beliefs on us through legislation and government policies. The atheists I know have much better values and morals than those evangelical leaders out thee. Atheism IS a classified as in a religion in philosophy.

It's about time

Abstinence only" programs are riddled with medical inaccuracies. They may delay sex for a short awhile, but leave teens without the knowledge of contraception, condoms and the truth about pregnancy. Then when older teens give up their virginity pledges and engage in sex they get pregnant. CA has always refused funds for these programs. The latest study show shows CA to be one of the few states that did not have an increase in teen pregnancies. This of course did not prevent the pro-lifer from trying to insert "abstinence only" programs the schools. However CA just passed a new law, which the governor signed, which bans sex education that is not medically accurate. That will prevent "abstinence only" programs from being taught in the schools.

Original article: America's next top Democrat

Iowa is important

Iowa is one of the few states where the voters really get to meet the candidates and spend a lot of time with them. Unlike many super Tuesday states the people in Iowa are more informed about the candidates. California is actually a bigger agricultural state than Iowa. Most of the food we eat is grown here. And the big corporate farms in CA get a lot of that subsidy money.

I really don't believe Clinton has any more experience than Obqma, maybe life experiences. I am hoping he takes Iowa & new Hampshire big time, but it will be close.

Original article: Campaigning while female

How about aging men

Gee we a have to look at the 'Old boys" in congress and the aging brainless Bush. Oh but it's ok for men to age.

Rush Limbaugh is hardly every women's dream man. Oh but the conservative white males that listen to him, don't have to see him or the reflections of themselves.

Men go for younger women to prop up their own delusions of and their own fading youth. Of course Romney is not aging, because he got his hands on same of Ronald Reagan's Grecian formula. Notice how his hair gets darker every debate. The republican caddidates are just a bunch from the "old boys" club. Speaking of drugs, are the GOP old guys high or Viagra or GOD. As we older ladies know the older men have a hard (soft) time getting it u-... the reason we dream of younger males. And I am always rather amused by the GOP "rug brigade" in congress.

Yes I don believe that Hillary gets a Botox injection every once in awhile. We are too focused on youth. I rather see wrinkles than the "ladies with the tight faces'... The alien look a likes. I'm not voting for Hillary, but not because I think she is too old looking. I think Obmam has a better chance eo beting the "old boys" in the GOP.

Growing old, getting wrinkles, and voting for Obama... Ummm yummie.
