Saw cips on News Hour

I did not to watch the debates, because they are not really debates. The whole idea of havin news meida and asks questions submitted by the public is idiotic. Thre is no substance to these debates.

I did see clips of it on PBS News Hour. Everytime I see these guys running on the R ticket, I think any Democrat should be able to beat any one of these guys, and if the Democrats do not win next election, this country will be in deeper do-do than we are now.

Bush/Cheney and the Replbican led congress since 1995 have created the biggest defecit in history of this country and all these guys can talk about is NO taxes.

Even though I think Ron Paul is a big idiot, the best answer came from him when the question was aksed.,, Can the president start a war wtih Iran or do they have to get permisson from congress. After some pretty stupid answers from all the candidates. Ron Paul replies. "Just read the consitution!!!

Read the constitution

Any of candidate that is running for president or any office in Congress that does not understand the Consitution, should not be running for offcie. After all that is thier job to uphold the contituion. For those of you who do not know what the constituiton says. It clealy states that the President of the U.S. canot delcare war without the approval of Congress.

Of course in teh past that has not stopped presidents or other government operatives from getting us involved in conflicts without declaying war. Reagan involved the U.S. secreatly in the Neguargua war by funding the right wing Contras. Veitnam Conflict was NEVER a declared war. Veitnam started under Eisenhower as a CIA covert action, was inherited by Kennedy, Johnson, then Nixon.

Cuban Missle Crisis

What many do not know is the Cuban missle crisis actully startd in August not October. I was a teenageer at the time. During that summer I was visiting my sister and her familyy. Her husband, an air force who flew radar planes, left on a secret mission the beginning of August. This was ong before anyone knew what was happeing. he was flying over Cuba, and the U.S. was preparing for a possible conflict. Kenendy prevented it through good foreingn policy.

Socialism

Problem is most of you don't have an inckling what socialism really is. Socialsm is not a poltical system it is an economic system. Most Democracies have used some form of socialism in conjuction with capitalism. Social Security and Medicare are socialsm. Most other countries have very sucessful soicalized medicinee for ALL citzens. China doin very well with both captilaism and socialism. Synapore is a great example. Japan all of Europre. The onoy reason social Security is in trouble is because Republicans under Reagan raided the SS trust and at the same time reduced taxes.

The truth is the Unitd Stae is loosing it's greatness and wealth, due to selfishness. If you want to keep a nation great eveyone needs to pay taxes to support the greater good of society.Right now the U.s. transportation systems are far behind Europe and Japan, even China. Our info sturcture are primative compared to Europe and Japan. We are loosing graduates students in science and technolgy. Many start-ups are starting up in other coutnrie now. We have millions of uninsured. Our educational system is falling behind. We have an enomrous National debt, and personal debt is sky rocketing while other countriess save. We are behind in our apporach to saving the environment. We can't even wage a decent war strategy.

Obama has dignity

Obama conducts himself in a dignified manner. I guess it has been a lone time since we have seen dignigty in politics and the media so it mistifies some people. When it comes to music I prefer Mick Jagger. However Obama's campaign is not not about Rock 'n Roll it is about leaderhship.

Original article: Chicks behind the flicks

Be selective

I won't justt watch any movie even if the actor has made a good film in the past. It seems a lot of good women actors have gone the way of bad movies lately, but I guess you got to eat.

I watch mostly indenpendent and foreign films at small theaters. I will to a large theater if they have something decent. However most of the large Century Theaters show mostly block busters movies, louder than necessary, with almost an hour of obnoixius ADs, and bad, expensive food to boot. Most of these block busters films have no artistic merit.

The best film I have seen lately is "Death at a Funeral".

So What?

What is the authors point. Waht else is Bill suppose to do? So he He raises money for a good casues and popel love to hear him speak. It's not as if he is pocketing the money, for himself. How did the author get the donors names. It is rather unethical to give out the names of donors to fundations.
