However Glenn only cuts pastes segments from Rohde's series that fits his views and sow the glimpses of humanity. Read more closely. Rohde and the other captives were psychologically tortured by the Taliban.

This paragraph from the Rohde's article gives a more accurate perspective on those Taliban which has been working with Al Quaida from the get go.

I don't see the NYT promoting the war. They are reporting on what is happening in the discussion. Obama and other leaders have said over and over again, not of all the Taliban are involved in the insurgency, but in the the region of Pakistan where Rohde was held captive they are.

Let not forget that the Talban kill more of their own people than U.S. bombs, and they did it before we got involved in Afghanistan.

I don't want us to get into a long war there either, but lets be realistic about these insurgents. I'm torn about whether Obama should send a in a lot more troops and get this over quickly, but not sure it is possible. They need an exit strategy and markers for progress which they should not make it public.

You get what you pay for. Buy a few quality things instead of a LOT of cheap stuff.

I think Michale Moore is wrong. Obama took no corporate donations. I suspect maybe many Goldman employees gave individual donations to Obama, and like everyone else, then Michale Moore then says Goldman donated to Obama. You could say that about any group of people who happen know each other and make political donations. Ah isn't politcal naivete wonderful.

What we need is financial regulations from Congress.

In my book club we read a book where one of the characters had an incestuous relationship with her father. One member in our reading group had experience counseling families in incestuous relationships. She explained to us how incest is in much different than molestation, as the girl is usually a wiling participant. She said it is much harder counseling situation to deal with, as unlike girls who have been molested against their will, the girls in incestuous relationships most often usually do not want to give up the relationship with their fathers or brothers.

Frankly I can't stand these tell all shows. Keep it private at your counseling sessions.

What is so ignorant the right wing Christians argument against evolution is their constant statement 'it's only a theory". They ignore the FACT that Darwin's theory of evolution is no longer a theory, but has been proven been proven over and over again since it was first proposed with factual scientific studies.

They also continue to ignore the FACT.. bible is not based on fact, but on myths.

The biggest threat to our Democracy in the Chrisitian right politico in our own country. Why are we investigating teh terrorists organization Operation Rescue? Why are we investigating the constant violation of Church and State by the Christian Right?

I HATE the new design. It's harder to find

I must disagree with everything Camillie says. Obama has surrounded himself with the brightest and the best. He has increased respect for the U.S. around the world. Health Care Reform is moving. He is carefully and thoughtfully reviewing the Afghan situation(thank god he does not always just listen to the Hawk Hilary). The economy he inherited and will fix itself over time, we just need financial reforms to prevent it form happeing again.

All the complaining when we have the best leader in decades.
