Betty

I'm speculating that next season Betty may not just move from one man to another in a submissive role. She is starting to show some independent strength, so maybe she will find her inner feminists.

I agree the best characters in Madmen are moving into the new season and the last 2 episodes were great.

The young actress playing Draper's daughter is a great little actress, so I hope they develop her role more too.

I loved the song at the end about finding a lasting love. As many of us who lived through those time, got divorced did find a better person to love.

"No one has been thrown under the bus here. Access to abortions will be the same as it was before, but more people will have access to health care. I don't see the problem."

Not true.

Before descrimination was directed against poor women only as the Hyde amendment prohibited the funding of funding for abortions through Medicaid since 1978 which is outrageous enough.

85% of private policies covered abortion. The 'Catholics Bishops' amendment attached in the House would prohibit those private companies plus the public option who participated in the health coop from covering abortion services. This takes the prohibition much farther than before.

HOW about a check mark on tax forms to donate a portion of taxes TO 'abortion' fund.?

Answer

"How many abortions for the same woman should taxpayers pay for? "

Why should abortion be singled out?

If you want to ask how many abortions we should pay for then we need to also ask:

1.How many births should we pay for.

2. How many procedures for people who are Obese?

3. How many procedures for smokers?

Abortion is a legal medical procedure, It should be treated equally with other procedures.

It is an absolute violation of our constitution for those Congress to insert their religious beliefs into public policy. The minute they step through the doors of of congress, they represent Democracy, not the Catholic church, not theocracy.

And an abortion is still an elective procedure.

So is giving birth.

Stop giving to DNC

I wrote my Congress woman who supports reproductive choice, Senator Boxer and the DNC and told them I was outraged that the Democratic party was enabling those in their party who are inserting their religious ideology into government policy. I put them on notice that until they stood up to this, I was no longer donating to the DNC or working on behalf of Democrats. I helped Obama raisse money, and I am wriitng to all those I know who gave large amounts of money to the DNC and asking them to hold donations until ALL Democrats stand up for women's rights.

I already give to NARAL and PP, but just made an additional ongoing donation to NARAL to fight this and reconcile abortion coverage in private and the public option plan the Senate.

The Hyde amendment (1978) already prohibits federal funding for abortions for Medicaid.

If it does not get reconciled, I will donate my money that used to go to the DNC to an "Abortion Fund".

Young women, you need to hit your feet to the pavement, protest and fight for your rights, like my generation did.

captcrisis

abortion is NOT murder, It is a constitutionally protected right ans a legal medical procedure.

The people committing murders are pro-lifers

Monday, November 9, 2009 01:29 PM

The real murders are pro-lifers

Many more women will be subjected to the terrorism of pro-lifers at public clinics, since Democrats have compromised abortion in health care reform.

RandyTB

So you will compromise to throw everyone's civil liberties under the bus?

We need a coalition of groups to fight for those who are having their rights assaulted by compromise.

Pro-choicers shoud do this too

I organizing my sersonal boycott of the DNC.

Ther compromise on abortion services in Health care reform is outrageous.

I just sent the DNC and my representatives and Senators an e-mail and told them if they do not stop enabling those who insert their religious beliefs in public policy, I will no longer donate money to the DNC or Democratic candidates.
