  • anonymous... Aren't we all

I agree some of "anonymous'" comments have been harse, but aren't we all anonymous? After all we choose a screen name and a password, so I assume I cannot be contacted directly by anyone using this site as I prefer. I am guilty of responding to this persons comments when ther myths needed correcting, however, some of the responses to "anonymous" were pretty nasty and abusive.

I don't think you should ban it the use of anonymous, but warnings are suffcient, if it doesn't work then I assume you have a way to say we are now blocking you from ths site. Although that is not not very democractic.

I find the long convaluted paragraphs by pysuedo intellectuals just as obnoxious.

I would love spell check, as I do not type well, and I am horrfied at the keys I hit by mistake.

I have written letters to editor of newspapers for years.

This is my system.. first I write the "damn you nasty bitch" letter to get it off my chest, then I edit the letter to make my point and so they will publish it.

However it is kind of nice to be able to write the "damn you nasty bitch" letters sometimes online.

When I first meoved to California, from teh midwest many friends who stayd there aksed me what it was like to move to California, My repsonse was: "It's like dying and going to heaven." I had dreamed for years of moving to California after I had visted my older sister while I was in high school.

When I finally did it,I was divorced, had gone back to finish college, had 2 young children, but I took a chance and have never regreted it.My children got on a plane every summer and went to vist their grand parents and loved it. I did not have dailly or weekly help from my parents and survived.

I love teh perfect wather, the varity of organic fruits and veggies year round, teh creative spirit, the diversity.

    Do it Move West.

  • Damages ugh!

[Read the article: I Like to Watch]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

A reviewer I usualy respect gave Damages a good reveiw, so we watched the piolet show. It will be the last time we watch it.

TV just has never gotten the practice of law right. There's nothing exciting about the law practice, except to those who practice law and if it was protrayed in reality the TV audiances would be bored to death.

Damages appears to be all of Glen Close's roles,

rolled into one, but without a good plot.

  • Good movie

I have not watched the Simpsons TV show in a few years as I refuse to watch FOX. However but the movie was great, and just the right length adn refreshing. It has some great lines, and the right amount of political junkie jabs. I wondered about the audiance at times, when many of the lines seemed over the audiances head as I laughed loudly when no one else did. However it has enough stupid laughs for those who did not get the satire. A good movie.

Oh God give me a break. Doen't your twevle year old have a penis. I suspect the penis siting was a satire on the flash of the Janet Jackson's nipple.

I would say don't take anyone under 12 not because of the penis siting or the large swaying breasts but because of the few violent scenes.

You know if your are in Europe 12 year old boys are viewing a painting of nude would be discussing the shawdows, light shading, colors, and form. In the U.S.. 12 year old boys viewing a nude painting (even if they were allowed) would be giggling becasue they are so over protected from the naked human FORM in art, and made to beleive that anything nude is smut.

  • Natinal Health care Now

[Read the article: This might hurt a bit]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

When is the U.S. going to catch with the rest of the indrustrialzed world. We are the ONLY industrialzed nation in the world that does not have a national health care system. When I talk to people from other nations, they cannot beleive that a county like the U.s. which claims to be the greatest & richest nation in the world cannot give ther citzens health care. Richrd Nixon, a republican, ran on the issue of creating a national health care system.

I have yet to hear any good proposal ffrom either the Democrats or Repubicans. Republicans want more choices, and the Democrats want to add more a patchs to our systme, both will cost more that a complete overhaul and a system for all citizens. We already pay taxes to suppport health care for Medicare, Medicaid, military, veterans, Congress, all govenrment workers. People in corporations are having to change plans more often and are getting less benefits.Self employed have to apy for their own insurace or go without. My husband and I pay over $13,000 a year in health care premiums, have $4,000 combined copay and dedcutable each befre BC of CA will pay 100%, and they dicount the doctors costs. Yet we pay a LOT oftaxes to support the old, very poor and government employees. I our area there are few if any doctors who now have thier own practcie, they are all already in small or large clinics to survive.

All we need to do is get rid of all exsiting government plans, except Medicare, turn it into a national system for all, where each citzen, legal resident, corporation pays a health care premiums based on their income. Services would be focus on preventative medicine. We would save billions is adminstration cost by doing this. To keep insurance companies happy let them bid to adminster the plan in each region. People could add services by takng out private plans. This is how Medicare works and it is how other countries work thier systems.
