Stnadards not tugh enough

Good greif. I gave up my gaz guzzling U.S made cars years ago. I have been driving Toyotas and Acuras since the 1980s, and getting better milage than teh new standards set by congress. In 1990. I took a trip 1/2 way accross the country, over the rockies in my 1986 Toyota Celica. Not ony did my car never loose power, as I passed all the American made cars going up steep grades, but I got 50 miles per galon on this road trip. I was laready getting mroe than 36 per gallon in the city.

Younger genration is polluting the planet for ther own children by driving them "everyhwere" in gas guzzling SUVs.

The Democrats are being gutless wonders on this issue. The Republicans could care less or are in denial about climate change, the US population is "unclear on the concept" of "sarafice". In my neigborhood, all the older people are buying Toyota Prius, younger fmailies have 3-4 cars and more than one SUV and all their nannies show up in SUVs

Speaking of FORDS

I find it rather amazing that FORD makes 2 of the most obnoxius gas guzzing vehicles (Expoler & Expediton for the U.S. market,

but makes fuel effeicnt cars for the Euopeon market.

If they can do it for Europeon market, they should be able to do it for the U.S. market.

Since Americans seem not to be able to sacrifice for the common good, we need to heavily tax gas guzzlers and use the money to

explore alternatives fuels and public transporttion.

Japan had the bullet train in 1969-France first got the TGv tains in 1984. The U.S. led the world in train transportation in 1800s, but tore up many tracks in the 1970s. Teh U.S. lags behind even thirdd wrkd countries in public transportation. We have no high speed rails? Something is very wrong.

Amerigo spouty pro-life myths (LIES)

The biggest LIE of the anti abortion movement is the

PROPAGANDA:"abortion is allowed on demand" for any reason any time during pregnancy". THIS IS A BOLD FACED LIE! Under Roe v Wade. abortion rights are allowed under a trimester system: THE FIRST TRIMESTER. (1-12 weeks) Yes, abortion is allowed for any reason.. the woman's rights superceed the rightss the rights of the fetus. Over 95% of abortions perfomred )

SECOND TRIMESTER (13-23 weeks): The rights of the fetus and woman are equal. States can regulate abortion if it does not impose and "undue burden" on the woman. 2-4 % abortions performed 2nd trimeter. THE THIRD TRIMESTER: (23-36 weeks). The rights of the fetus superceed the rights of the woamn. Abortion was only allowed to save the Life and health reason of the woman.(very few abortions have been perfomd in the third trimester less than .004%. However through an ungenuious campaign by antis (so-called partial birth abortion) the reproductive health of a woman late in pregnancy is no longer valued. There really is no reason for any more restrictions abortions than under ROE. Teh real goal of antis is to outlaw ALL abortions.

Original article: The Hillary and Bill show

Hillary & Bill show

I love both Hillary anbd Bill, but I was much more impressed by the speech Obama gave in Fairfiled Iowa than Senators Clinton's speech in Des Moines. Hillary got too rabid in her speech. Usually she is very good speaker, but her voice went way over the top this time. At one point someone must have told her to ratch it down, as she then mellowed out.

We have a good bunch of Demcorats running, and I like the fact that Democrats are not beating each other up this time. They appear to have a unified theme. However when Hillary speaks of change she talks about"her" making change. When Obama speaks about change her talks about the "poeple" making change. He has the same inspirational tone of the Kennedys.

I have not ruled out either Edwards or how about a dark horse

Senator Dodd.

If you want to see the candiatges speeches in entirty without the media hipe... watch CSPAN

Why isn't the media addressing these candidates by the proper protical... (i.e.) Senator Clinton, Former Senator Edwards, Senator Obama ( is that his last name?), Senator Dodd.

Toyotas last forever

For the person who won't buy a Pirus because he want his car to last a long time. Well Toyotas out last any car. My husband had a Camery and would not get rid of it as he want to surpass the 350,000 mile mark, and make it to 400,000. Fortunately it finally gave started to give out at around 375,000, so he got new car.

Original article: A Snow job on Libby

Clinton never convicted

Purgery is hard to prove. Scooter Libby was CONVITED of purgery.

Bill clinton was accused of Pugery in denyng he had sex with Monica L. However Bill Cliton WAS NEVER FOUND GUILTY OR CONVICTED OF PURGERY. In fact he was never found guilty of any crimes. His biggest offense was acting like a typical middle age male, when presented with an opportunity to cheat. The spot on the blue dress was not a national security risk or a manipulaiton of the intelligence community. Libby on the other hand helped out an undercover CIA agent. This is a serious abuse of power.

The right is so used to lying now, they can't distinquish

between truth and lies so they will continue their LIES about the Clintons. Granted it was STUPID for the Cinton's to even weigh in on the subject.
