Another dumbing down

Why is it the new media is dumbing down old books. Maybe because there are fewer people reading or even "getting it" when they do read. Women without men can best be summed up with tis quote from Gloria Stienam:

" A woman without a man, is like a fish without at bycycle".

Girdles for Girls!

Thank god we threw out the girdles before the the bras.

1950s and early 60s fashion modestly required teens and women wear girdles, no matter how thin you were. The point of the girdle was to assure that no bottoms or flesh was bonuncing around in those straight skirts and to hold up nylon stockings.

Of course virginity was highly praised commondity at the time, so I guess strugglging out of a girdle made sex pretty challenging.

The girdle was close to a chasty belt.

Vince Foster did nbot die mysteriously. He committed suicide. The man has a history of mental health problems. Someone asked who even pays attention to Ann Coulter? Answer: The same people who like Bush, beleive that Vince Foster died mysteriously, and believe Iraq was connected to 9/11.

Media in decline

YouTube is another example of media in decline. I'm for tightening up the FCC rules again. We need reestablish balance truth, fairness and accuracy in the media.

It seem there is a broad base a yonger genration who loves TRASH, and has little respect for copywrted ideas. The anti Hillary video is a total rip off, and not even a well done rip-off.

Sick of 9/11

All the repulbicans have talked about since 2001 is 9/11. I am sick to death of hearing about it. They have played right into the hands of the terorist, by keeping it on the front burner constantly.

Big Love

I watch big love, I findit pretty fancinating, but also disturbing. Much of teh realtinsips are very mucl liek ral marragies, just amplified by 3. These are not bosey women. After all they cater to Bill's every needs.

And did anyone notice on Nicky's and bill's anniversary, Bill gave his first wife a watch and Nickey tools. What does tha say about the relationship?

Sad days for women's rights

Unfortunately for this young poor women, the elected officals who work to dismantle abortion rights are in most cases the same elected officals who vote agnist minimum wage increases, welfare benefits, and other health care for womne in need. The so-called pro-lfers also worked diligently to mke sure that young women do not have access to compreshensive sexuality education and affordblee birth control.

Most abortions are [performed in the first treimester (1-12 weeks). However second trimester abortions are not late term abortions, but the ANTIS have cleverly wrapped the second trimester into their "late term" rhetoric.

Today abortion rights are being turned back to pre Roe v. Wade and with a Supreme Court that has moved quickly to the far right, we can see Roe totally dismantled in the near future. Don't be fooled they are chipping from the top down. The so-called partial birth aboriton ban was totally unnecesary, as under Roe aboritons after viability (aprox 23 weeks) were already limited. Later Term abortions were very rare. Only .004% of all abortions were performed late term. The difference now is women who have severe health problems late in preganncy can not get an abortion, as the SC late term abortion ban makes no exception for women's health. The new late term law is so unclear that it may also be ued to ban second trimester abortions. Yet I see no outcry from young women or men. I guess because they never faced the days before Roe when abortion was legal in some states and baned in others. The an older women, fought the battle, for your rights. Younger women it's time to step UP!

great news

Marriages with fewer cildren is great news for the environment, and is unselfish. We don't all have to reproduce ourseleves.

When are we going to start talking about populton control in regard to the envronment. Of course many people would have to find something else to talk about besdies thier children.

historical perpective flawed

The unidentifed person gave a distorted historical perspective.

Producing babies in panic has always been an alarm cry of the patriarhcal conservatives.

Historically it has however been proven that those individuals who over produce generally are not aa well of financially off an put a strain on resources. So it stands to reason those who limit their reproduction, will be better off finnancially, thus able to suport the population with thier taxes. In addition fewer people means less strain on resources spent, and a healther in environment. Many jobs ahve been replaced by technology, so we do not need as many people. The real strain put on any society is over reproductiion. The human poplulation went forth and over multiplied far beyond our needs. We need to stop the crazy cycle.

Macs don't crash

I've been using a Mac coputers since the early 90s. I have had very few crashes, and no viruses. Macs are wonderful supreor tehcnolgy. Click, point, or or one key stroke takes you to where you need be in a flash. Maybe apple doesn't make thier products complicated enough for some geeks.
