Absolutely!

I am ready for a united America. I am not interested in a Bush/Clinton dynasty. If Hillary should get the democratic nomination (sad day) I am not interested in another 4 years of gridlock in "the house." Barack inspires me. He has brought hope to me to believe that our country can work together for a common cause and be an America that we can all be proud of. I am so very heartsick that the Clinton's are acting like attack dogs just to get back into the White House. It is time for change; something other than talk, real change and not the establishment as usual.

Obama's SC Win

Joan,

No matter how fair you try to be in your comments, there is no denying that "The Clinton's" are being divisive. It is time to turn that page. I am a 50-something white long-time democrat and the way the Clinton's played SC is disgraceful. I am so very tired of the same old politics. Joan, look and think outside of your box! I am so very grateful that The Kennedy's are able to see what a lot of us are experiencing.

Mcain Wins

Maybe my comment will make them happy once again. My husband and I are long-time Dems and we have made a huge decision today. If Hillary wins our nomination we will NOT be voting for her in the national election. If there are others like us out there I see where the Repubs can win the WH. We hope that we don't have to make that decision. This will probably make our fellow Dems very mad but we do not want a Bush/Clinton dynasty; it is not good for our country. We want our United States back once again. We live in AZ and do feel that McCain is too old and he has sided with Jr. (Bush) way too much but McCain is someone we can probably live with. For a long time we have wanted a new AZ Senator. So - there I said it. I must state that we are Obama supporters. We will stand by our decision.

Answering the Phone at 3 AM

I don't like Hillary's fear tactics and I am very disappointed that some American's bought into it. I also don't trust her judgment. John McCain's 100 year's in Iraq is scary. I sincerely hope that American's will THINK outside the box about this issue. That phone call doesn't even get to the President before it has been through many, many advisers.

Oh come On

Come on Joan, Yes, typical white person comment. Don't be so high and mighty about this. I do believe that it is more generational, which his grandmother would fit into, but racism is alive and well in the US. I am a white 50ish female and when I think back to the Watts riots and the 70's racial tensions not to mention the racist comments my father has made I cringe. My 80 year old mother still makes these comments. I am also troubled by the 20% Ohioans that said that race mattered. We white folks are so into ourselves that we have trouble looking at racism from the AA point of view. Get over this comment and move on!!!

Wright Not the Problem

Absolutely. Thank you for putting these thoughts out there. I am sick of we white folks being so high and mighty. It is time that we realize and swallow the truth. I am saddened by the hateful comments out there and what is even more disheartening that there are people out there that will buy into what the Clinton's and the Repubs will be saying. How can we get everyone to think?

Winning?

The system is what it is. This article is sounding like the Clinton campaign. Let's change the rules!!!!

Original article: Thank you, Rush Limbaugh!

Thank You

Point well taken. However, I have to disagree with the overt sexism comments vs racism. Barack has suffered as many comments over racism as Hillary has over sexism. Lets get over it and may the best person win!

Hillary

Please, if she didn't have an honesty problem it wouldn't be necessary to make this kind of statement. Maybe Hillary should have thought about this issue before she started down this path of scortch & burn and tell any story that will get you elected. I am tired of this kind of politics and I think we are educated enough to demand more than this type of trash.

Original article: What Pennsylvania tells us

PA Tells Us

Joan, I was pleased to read, what I feel is, one of your more objective articles. I am an Obama supporter, but a Democrat and I am very concerned over the anticks of the Clinton's. I have felt all along that Hillary is incredibly divisive and she has only validated this to me. However, if the SuperD's allow her to steal the nomination I will hold my nose and vote for her because the bottom line is the Supreme Court. If Obama had the numbers that Hillary has he would not be allowed to continue. The country and the party would come after him full force. I am so shocked that Hillary is more concerned with the WH than what is best for the country. This Dem race is not good for our party.

Gracious NC Victory

Thank you Joan, I think you are the first to acknowledge Barack's graciousness. He has always been polite and very gracious - unlike Clinton. I would like to know why we don't hear more of this from the media!

WV

Thank you Joan for the informative article. I have been heartsick over the racism issues that this campaign has brought to the surface. And I have to admit that I am incredibly disappointed in West Virginia. I have been given the gift of education and sometimes do not realize the issues our poorer areas have to endure. The DailyKos article was informative and has given me food for thought. I will put WV folks in the proper perspective.
