SPEAKING OF CRAZY....HOW ABOUT THE N-WORD?

MRS. OBAMA, WHITEY, AND THE N-WORD

With the stock market in an unprecedented freefall, with disturbing tales of banks and bailouts filling our newspapers and TV screens, and with Obama breaking out with a commanding lead over McCain, a little levity is in order and you can find it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ooBhnjl5v4&NR=1.

That link is to a parody of the whole, “Did Michelle Obama use the derogatory term, Whitey, at some point in time brouhaha” and, being a parody, that YouTube tape sheds no light on the question but is nevertheless amusing at the same time it raises some questions. (Mrs. Obama seems to be in virtual seclusion of late and could not be reached for comment.)

Personally, as a whitey, a natural-born whitey unlike the pseudo-whitey, Michael Jackson, I have never taken umbrage at the term. I guess it would depend on how the word was used and whether it was articulated during a frothing diatribe such as in the midst of one of those wild rants by Obama’s pastor, “Reverend” Jeremiah Wright.

Yet, even then, I’d consider the source and just let the word slide off my white back since I believe in the ancient adage that sticks and stones can break my bones but names or words can never harm me.

Considering that truism, it’s difficult to understand why the N-word is now regarded as the worst word in the English language, worse even than the much overused Anglo Saxon F-word. Overuse almost everywhere, in films, high school corridors, and many offices, has rendered the F-word as almost innocuous. It may very well go the way of the classic and vile British cuss word, bloody,...

JOHN MCCAIN SURRENDERS

SENATOR JOHN McCAIN’S ARTICLES OF SURRENDER

John McCain still doesn’t get it.

A good man, a proven war hero and a patriot, Senator McCain seems ready, willing, and able, to surrender the presidency rather than backtrack on his longstanding tendency to “reach across the aisle” and work with Democrats to find solutions for the many ills our nation faces.

That’s all very charitable and diplomatic of the senator from Arizona, this self-characterized maverick, but it makes no sense when sitting on the other side of the congressional aisle are other senators and congress people who have repeatedly demonstrated they care not a whit about this country except as it serves to extend their careers.

Why McCain cannot see that, cannot intellectually grasp that, is bewildering and infuriating as is his refusal to take off the gloves for the final twenty six days of this campaign and fight with all in his prodigious power to pummel Obama and his congressional surrogates with the truth.

McCain’s supporters understand quite well what’s happening in this race, as seen in this Washington Post article: ...

REAL VOTERS SHOULD BE MAD AS HELL AT ACORN!

THE LITTLE ACORN THAT COULD CHANGE AN ELECTION

The Democratic machine politicians in Obama’s adopted home town of Chicago virtually codified that party’s injunction to its ward-heelers to get out the vote by any and every means necessary, to vote early and often. Amazingly, even the dead were known to vote in the Windy City.

Now, the shamelessly corrupt organization, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, ACORN, is taking the Chicago model national. From tiny acorns the mighty oaks do grow and this shadowy ACORN has been growing new voters mightily, and suspiciously.

Its office in Nevada was raided Tuesday by Nevada authorities searching for concrete evidence of voter registration fraud, ACORN workers have been jailed in Missouri, and in the state of Washington, “they signed a consent decree . . . to avoid criminal prosecution, . . . the management and the organization of ACORN acknowledged that if they were to continue activity as they had been they would subject to criminal liability.”

The Nevada raid dispelled any notion that it was a partisan investigation since it was organized by that state’s secretary of state, Ross Miller, a Democrat.

This is one nasty acorn, active also in Connecticut, Wisconsin, and Ohio, all, coincidentally, swing states in this year’s presidential sweepstakes. Not content with signing up legal registrants, ACORN, which has endorsed Obama, registered the (names of) Tony Romo and the rest of the Dallas Cowboys’ starting lineup.

On top of being perverse, ACORN also doesn’t seem very bright.

Brightness reigns supreme in the newsroom and editorial board of the so-called “Paper of Record,” the New York Times,... (Read the rest of this article @ http://genelalor.com/.)
