UVPS

A primary feature planned for a future ObamaWorld that has gotten little play, and no play by the McCain/Palin campaign, is Barack Obama’s plan for “Universal Voluntary Public Service,” (UVPS), a grandiose title for a program that will be dedicated to indoctrinating our youth into acceptance of a collectivist society.

Theoretically, on the surface, UVPS seems simply an extension of JFK’s Peace Corps and an elaboration of Kennedy’s injunction to ask not what our country can do for us but rather what we can do for America. All very altruistic, but all very much a socialist scam as misinterpreted and misrepresented by the JFK wannabe, Obama.

First of all, there is no valid comparison between the UVPS and the Peace Corps which has lasted now for almost half a century and which was designed to extend American assistance to desparate people throughout the world. The Peace Corps, again in theory but hopefully still valid, was intended to show the world the greatness of America at the same time Peace Corps volunteers built homes and water wells, and sewers, and taught the underprivileged and the uneducated in foreign nations.

Secondly, despite its title, there will be no volunteering with Obama’s UVPS. It would constitute a draft into public service of every high school and college student, after they receive extensive brainwashing by trained propagandists.
