BARACK AMERICA AND PRESIDENT BIDEN: TWO MORONIC PEAS IN A POD
Barack Hussein Obama long ago established himself as a clod who, without a teleprompter from which to read his lines, stumbles, bumbles, and “umms…aahs…wells…y’knows” as if extemporaneous speaking were a foreign language. How this guy got through law school makes one wonder whether affirmative action played a major role.
His outright gaffes, such as when he said he had campaigned hard in all 57 states, are another issue. See Michelle Malkin on the subject of Obama, “the gaffe machine:” http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=MWZjY2YzZWVkMjdkMDEzMGQ0MjJkNTUyN2FkNmMzYTc=#more.
Now he’s been joined on the stump by Senator Joe Biden as the Chosen One’s Chosen Soon-To-Be-VP-Nominee. In their first joint appearance, and that’s joint as in joined together not joint as what Bubba never inhaled, both gave indications as to how much fun the next 3 1/2 months will be.
Biden has lots of ’splainin’ to do, concerning why Obama wasn’t ready to be president a few months ago but amazingly achieved that readiness in so short a period of time. A quick study, maybe?
I wonder, too, whether Barack asked Joe during the vetting process what he really meant when he called the junior senator from Illinois a “clean” African-American and why he plagiarized a speech back in 1988 and why he felt the need to get hair plugs. Are clean African-Americans the exception to some rule? When he plagiarized from Brit pol, Neil Kinnock, was he merely giving a backhanded compliment to Kinnock? When he wore those hair plugs on the floor of the Senate, was he really just making a statement about male pattern baldness?
This duo could very well come to rival Laurel and Hardy or Abbott and Costello or Martin and Lewis for their comedy routines, slips of the lips, and gaffes du jour.
That first joint appearance was a great start....

It seems sure enough and from your post to God's ears!
Ooops, sorry to use the word God on Salon!
I had hoped for Hitlery but Joe Arch-Lib Hairplug Plagiarist Foul-Mouth Biden was my second choice.
He will add immensely to Osama/Obama's ticket. Now Barack can focus on winning the rest of the nation since Delaware's 3 electoral votes are in the bag!
Thank you, Barack Hussein Obama! And thank God for your pick!
Ooops, I used that bad G-word on Salon again.
Fear not, Greg.
Israelis are only "beholden" to Americans who lavish $$$ at the moment. Should some other Americans promise even more $$$, Israelis will simply switch their allegiance.
Question, though: How does one "lavish" political pressure?
Just what is wrong with these doctors?
How dare they refuse to perform an abortion and execute an innocent human being?
There's absolutely NO excuse for such abominable behavior!
Next thing could very well be a reinstitution of Hippocrates' admonition that doctors should do no harm and then where will we be? In a civilized society?
America must stop this madness!
At the risk of playing a game of Can You Top This? I thought this expose’ by ParentDish.com was either an exercise in naivete’ or an intentional cover up of what’s actually going on in America’s public schools: http://www.parentdish.com/2008/08/18/teacher-texts-talks-to-teen/?icid=200100397×1207972092x1200439589.
Granted, all the snippets provided there are examples of teachers being unprofessional and worse, ranging from male teachers texting and calling high school girls at all hours of the night, to female teachers berating four year olds for refusing to nap, to nutty teachers branding students, to female teachers bedding their male students.
I’m not trying to mitigate the offenses of those charged with educating and not with berating and seducing and otherwise demeaning our kids but the article seems to suggest this is a recent phenomenon. It’s only “recent” in the last few generations and the truth of the matter is that the scope and severity of that child abuse goes far beyond what is made public. It’s just the very tip of a very sick iceberg.
I write from some experience and because that scope and severity should be publicized more.
I began my teaching career almost forty years ago in a suburban Long Island, New York public school. One of my first initiations into the prevailing mentality of the teaching staff was the bemused reaction to six colleagues who were the best of buddies, who palled around in school and off campus palled around a lot more. They partied together, attended various functions together, and eventually took it all to a higher (lower?) level when they legalized the wife-swapping and married different partners in their Group of Six.
That’s all very legal among consenting, and tenured, adult teachers, though it’s more than a tad unseemly. I’m not a Puritan condemning such behavior but what struck me was the bemusement of the rest of the teaching staff.
The preponderance of that staff...

I think Gary's issues go far beyond his height issues :(
Salon.com's worst crime against humanity is not that it's a left wing website. Rather, it's the pretense that it's not.
Why pretend to be objective when most rational people know Salon is as far left as MoveOn.org but without the gonads to admit it.
I've been on both sides, on the left until I grew up and on the right since I did. I crossed over when I realized I loved the United States of America far more than I loved pretentious nations, and cultures, whose chief interest was to reduce us to their level.
So, please drop the objective pretense of such articles as this.
