To Mr. Dvorkin

Mr. Dvorkin, all I raq has now become a rape room? And by whose standard and on what statistics do you base that nutzo claim?

Sorry, dude, but mere hatred of Bush doesn't substantiate or give credibility to your lies.

Try reading more and posting less and you just could get in touch with reality!

Original article: Happy days are here again!

OBAMA HAS NO SHAME :(

OBAMA LXIV: BARACK SUCKS UP TO PRO-LIFERS

You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.

Abraham Lincoln, (attributed)

16th president of US (1809 - 1865)

Honest Abe was right on target with that one and Barack Hussein Obama clearly gets the first part but may be oblivious of the second part.

Unashamedly, he’s now appealing to those of us who believe abortion is murder (see previous posts) and expecting us to forget his bloody pro-abortion past: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=washingtonstory&sid=a2nC1Wysvtg4.

I would suggest he read the other half of Lincoln’s words.

THE OLYMPICS ET AL.

ANOTHER DRUDGE DIGEST OF THE BEST

I don’t know how much of DrudgeReport.com that Matt Drudge actually writes or how he chooses articles for his site but for those who don’t go there I hereby save you the bother and present the best of the best, with my inimitable insights:

The latest blast from the past is this scuttlebutt that Obama may tap Big Bad John Kerry for the VP slot: http://wbztv.com/politics/jonkeller/john.kerry.vice.2.796143.html. Now that would be an interesting pick! Just imagine John I-Served-In-Viet-Nam Kerry re-running his tired old shtick once again, with his former running mate, John I-Served-Rielle-Hunter Edwards acting as his Chief of Staff, so to speak.

That third John in the news, John McCain, has pulled neck and neck, (that would be different from the Edwards-Hunter necking), with Obama in the Gallup Daily Tracking Poll at 44%: http://www.gallup.com/poll/109564/Gallup-Daily-McCain-Obama-Tied-44.aspx. At this stage of the game, polls still mean diddleysquat but it’s still fun to imagine the consternation in Messiahobama’s camp. That missing 12% is the key.

Compound Obama caving, “appeasing,” on a roll call vote for Hillary at the Dem convention later this month, http://www.nydailynews.com/opinions/2008/08/14/2008-08-14_barack_obama_blinks_in_hillary_faceoff.html, with major speeches scheduled by Billary, and promises of demos by un-appeased Hillary supporters, not enough limos for the Party of the Common People, that convention is sounding more and more like a circus. 1968 Redux!

With the price of oil plummeting, (touching $111. a barrel after peaking near $147.), and the almighty dollar soaring against the euro, http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/080815/oil_prices.html?.v=21, the Obamians must be scratching the bottom of the barrel–pun intended–for other issues. And I locked in at $3.25 for heating oil!

On the Other Good News Front, the Olympics in putrid Beijing, Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson in gymnastics and Michael Phelps in the water, along with many other American athletes, have made us damned proud: http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/080815/oil_prices.html?.v=21. Whether winning the gold (Liukin, Phelps) or silver (Johnson) these “kids” deserve a ticker tape parade for demonstrating American class!

SALONIC HYPOCRISY

Salon.com's worst crime against humanity is not that it's a left wing website. Rather, it's the pretense that it's not.

Why pretend to be objective when most rational people know Salon is as far left as MoveOn.org but without the gonads to admit it.

I've been on both sides, on the left until I grew up and on the right since I did. I crossed over when I realized I loved the United States of America far more than I loved pretentious nations, and cultures, whose chief interest was to reduce us to their level.

So, please drop the objective pretense of such articles as this.

TEACHERS GONE WILD!

At the risk of playing a game of Can You Top This? I thought this expose’ by ParentDish.com was either an exercise in naivete’ or an intentional cover up of what’s actually going on in America’s public schools: http://www.parentdish.com/2008/08/18/teacher-texts-talks-to-teen/?icid=200100397×1207972092x1200439589.

Granted, all the snippets provided there are examples of teachers being unprofessional and worse, ranging from male teachers texting and calling high school girls at all hours of the night, to female teachers berating four year olds for refusing to nap, to nutty teachers branding students, to female teachers bedding their male students.

I’m not trying to mitigate the offenses of those charged with educating and not with berating and seducing and otherwise demeaning our kids but the article seems to suggest this is a recent phenomenon. It’s only “recent” in the last few generations and the truth of the matter is that the scope and severity of that child abuse goes far beyond what is made public. It’s just the very tip of a very sick iceberg.

I write from some experience and because that scope and severity should be publicized more.

I began my teaching career almost forty years ago in a suburban Long Island, New York public school. One of my first initiations into the prevailing mentality of the teaching staff was the bemused reaction to six colleagues who were the best of buddies, who palled around in school and off campus palled around a lot more. They partied together, attended various functions together, and eventually took it all to a higher (lower?) level when they legalized the wife-swapping and married different partners in their Group of Six.

That’s all very legal among consenting, and tenured, adult teachers, though it’s more than a tad unseemly. I’m not a Puritan condemning such behavior but what struck me was the bemusement of the rest of the teaching staff.

The preponderance of that staff...
